Help augmenting (vascular new grad)

I’m having trouble with augmenting. My issue is that I find the vessel and turn it to long and when I reach to augment I just lose the vessel. I can keep it on the vessel if I press hard with my scanning hand but that usually closes the veins which doesn’t help.

Specifically augmenting smaller vessels like GSV bk or SSV.
My hand is usually steady but having to turn my body to scan while leaving very little pressure to leave the vein open results in me moving before I can augment .

Any tips that any experienced scanners have I would appreciate it.

Any success stores of their toddler level 2 or 3 getting better as they got older?

Parent of 2 year old level 2 or 3 child with echolalia. Able to respond to commands, (clean up please, go get bottle etc). Can’t really talk but mostly parrots and constantly saying their abc and counting 1-100. They can ask for help but don’t specify what they need help with. It’s trial and error . But it’s a start. Was told he could be a Gestalt learner. Has been in therapy since 1 year old. there’s a lot of time for them to improve I know but I just want to hear peoples stories.

How do you feel when you hear this phrase, “The leading cause of Autism is Autistic people having children.”

For context. I have a 2 year old level 3. I don’t know how bad he actually is because I was told levels don’t matter and it’s only for people to get services.

Slight backstory, there’s no autism on my wife’s side and there are 3 people on my side(moms side) that have autism but this is out of like over 30 people so it’s very rare. They were more quirky than a say level 2 or 3. We only made the connection after my relative had the first ever level 3 in the family.

But I heard this comment at the park and I was so taken aback that I was really left speechless.

Curious to hear others opinions on this.

EDIT: I understand that it’s basically fact. That’s not what I was questioning. I was questioning someone telling you that you shouldn’t have any kids. The remark was said sarcastically as a way to say ND people should not have children. Apologies for the confusion.

Also I didn’t even know I had an extended member of the family with autism. It’s incredibly hard because no one knows which side of the family. Brothers, Sisters, cousins , everyone marries different people and we have such a hard time finding out which side has the link

How many people’s child with echolalia developed into actual language over time?

My son recently turned two. He has echolalia but can say lots of words. He’s obsessed with letters and numbers and can sort of ask for stuff he wants. But he mostly just parrots.

If he sees a Cookie he will say cookie please. But that’s the limit. 99% of the time if I say would you like this he will just repeat what I’m saying. I believe he is Gestalt learner

My question is has anyone’s child with echolalia and is a Gestalt learner have evolved into functional language over time. If so how long did it take?
