Ive (32M) currently been paying my girlfriends (36F) rent for the past 6 months. I feel bad for leaving.
I asked my girlfriend to go on a trip outside the country with me back in May. She unfortunately lost her job right before the trip and I told her dont look for a another one until we come back. I let her know I will take care of any expenses outside the trip until she gets back on her feet. Its been a few months and I have taken care of her bills but I assumed she would be back at some job by now. The first few months were ok as I didnt mind but now feels like a burden. She has told me she has applied to several positions but has not had any luck. I feel responsible as I initially told her to take a break for a moment but not liking her reaction. I informed her she needs a job and got upset at me that she didnt know there was a time expectancy. I no longer wish to pursue the relationship further but feels like im leaving her to dry without waiting for her to get a job first. What might be the best course of action to take here?
