AME living abroad

Hello there,

This may be hard to answer given the uniqueness of many aspects however, have any of you lived abroad and been able to find work in other countries as an AME? My life goal is too live abroad is Asia or South America. I feel like aviation mechanics is a transferable skill.

Wireline insight.

I'm looking to make a switch. I'm interested in wireline. I like boreal and the guys they got working there, I'm just worried about the 15/6 schedule. I want to make money but I honestly really don't want to live just to work. I've heard liberty is 14/14. Is the pay that much worse than Boreal and other Eline companies? Any current liberty guys here with some insight? Realistically can I clear 100k my first year with them? Been on fracs for 4 years.

Oliver Remodel 10146 121st Building.

Is anyone else as heartbroken as I am walking past the old brick apartment building in Oliver?

That beautiful brick façade was a quiet landmark for so long—part of the neighborhood’s character, a familiar face on the street even through the years it sat empty and waiting. Now it’s being plastered over and rebuilt with the same flat, forgettable look as every other new development popping up around us. It feels like watching a piece of our shared history get erased in real time.

We need Captain Lee back

Captain Lee was my least favorite years ago. Jason, sandy and Glen took the spotlight and seemed like people I would love to work for.

This season I have lost all respect for Jason, the final charter he finally sits down the H.O.Ds and once again doesn't hold anyone accountable. There were signs this issue needed to be corrected 5 episodes ago and when he finally addresses it, not even a slap on the wrist.

Lee would have had this whole crew replaced at this point. I miss his old school mentality and the people that have been cast for this show in the recent seasons could use the wake up call.

This season can't end soon enough, if whatever comes next is as insufferable as this season was, my decade long love affair with this show may be over :(
