Average delivery times from the MagicX store?

Hey folks, I picked up a One35 yesterday and I'm too excited not to ask, what was your experience with delivery time ordering direct from MagicX?

Some AliExpress stuff has taken over a month to arrive to Australia but 4PX sounds like a FedEx equivalent, so I guess pretty fast?

DIY strengthening solutions

Hey RPF2 owners, it seems any way you slice it the hinge on these devices has a limited lifespan. I'm considering total cost of ownership so was wondering 2 things:

  1. Is applying gorilla glue or epoxy solutions to the hinge pre-emptively a good idea? Has anyone tried anything else like a metal sheath, tape or small 3D printed reinforcement? The failure seems to occur consistently in the same area so something low profile that braces it would sound logical to me
  2. In 2-5yrs when its out of warranty and I'd have to replace the screen myself, has anyone found any aliexpress kits on sale to DIY a fix without relying on Retroid? I dont mind self repair if the components are purchasable. what parts does Retroid send to customers for repair?

Thanks!

Plugin SDK access to calendar app

To the genius plugin devs on this subreddit, firstly love your work!

Second, could anyone confirm whether the plugin SDK has access to the calendar app, particularly account auth? Calendar has just the same plugin button on the context menu, right?

I'd love to be able to update the calender app to try to solve:

  • Multi calendar support
  • Multi account support
  • Better UI for viewing events and importing daily agenda in to notes (similar to the impressive calendar planner plugin)

Has anyone made plugins that use Google OAuth/OIDC? I feel like it should be possible with a manual, on-demand sync process.

After Farrer by-election, a friendly reminder that One Nation are against a 25% tax on gas exports

I totally get being frustrated at the majors and voting ON. I'm a bit worried though about all the messaging that One Nation are in favour of a gas export tax and they think its "bloody unfair" etc. This is a pretty consistent message doing the rounds on socials.

They don't want to tax our gas at all. They dismiss it as some idea by The Greens to "blow things up", even though Pocock seems to be the one pushing for it. Instead they to want to deregulate gas project approvals which is likely to give gas companies more tax breaks.

From the horses mouth, which is on ON's own website:

Did anyone vote ON on Saturday over this issue? Or was it not that big of an issue for you?
