Why are there so many different standards for ultrasounds?
I’m currently 10+3 with our second baby. Our first baby is 5 years old so I forget a lot about early pregnancy lol plus I was pregnant during Covid protocols so it was a bit different. But why are ultrasounds so different depending on the OB office you go to? I see online some people get multiple ultrasounds during the first trimester. I had my first appointment last week at 9+4 and had an ultrasound then, and thankfully everything looks good! But they won’t do another ultrasound until 20 weeks for the anatomy scan at my office. I’m just wondering why it’s so different depending on where you are from? I realize some are higher risk and probably need more scans, but I didn’t know if there were any other reasons. My anxiety is making me think my symptoms settling down is a bad thing and I just can’t believe we won’t see the baby again for 10 weeks 😅
