I recently joined a company as a Senior Software Engineer after getting fired on July. I was desperate, had family and school going kid and other baggage's as well.

I have over 11 years of native android application development mostly in Java and Kotlin.

So upon joining I heard the whole android team has resigned and they are on notice period. So the HR and COO called, buttered my up and said that I had to be in the lead position (hiring is on the way to no i wont be leading me 😄)

But my salary remained out of the questions. Its like 2 responsibilities with 1 salary.

What should be my approach towards this situation? I am on probation period rn.
