Need advice for becoming a Licensed Esthetician + Medical Assistant
Hey Everyone I’m looking for some advice on what route I should take. I’m a 34F single no kids and skincare and makeup has always been a passion of mines. Growing up I had severe cystic acne. Over the years I have managed and cleared my cystic acne with great skincare products + diet changes + working out (loss 80 pounds) + managing stress. I am now more confident and feel more beautiful than ever. I have worked for Sephora + ULTA beauty + JCPenney Beauty (Formerly Sephora). I want to become a licensed esthetician to help others like me and share my story and knowledge and that there’s hope and No theres nothing wrong with you and there is a solution for cystic acne. I TRULY BELIEVE THIS IS MY PURPOSE. I am in a place in life to where I have a good paying job + no debt and I feel like am in a great place to walk in my purpose. I don’t want to give up my good paying job but I have a flexible schedule off Fridays and Saturdays Sun-Thursday 6am-2pm. I am in Florida and there is a school that offers Esthetics + Electrolysis Laser and with both semester combined you become “Medical Esthetician” even tho I know theres no such thing. So because of that I also wanted to become a Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) just to get my foot in door and maybe eventually nursing (RN). I’ve always enjoyed helping people. Do you think this is a good route for me. Looking to start Summer 2027. Please help Esti Besties!!!???? I want your thoughts.
