So I saw this TikTok the other day, don't remember the guy's name, but he talked about the blue/black vs gold/white dress. His take was it's not about lighting or your eyes. It's proof we're living in parallel universes that are brushing up against each other. Something happened that split things, and now some people are seeing one universe and some people are seeing the other. That's why half of us saw blue/black and half saw gold/white. We were literally watching two different realities.
