I generally have stopped engaging with the video game or anime communities, because from what I have seen, it usually devolves into degeneracy or fetishisation or gateways to porn addiction. I know this, because I myself have become tempted to view porn after seeing "fan service" , "femboy" or other bullshit.

The media(especially digital media) spaces are usually occupied by liberals and progressives, and this is because liberals tend to be more open to expressing and ideologically abstract compared to conservatives, which is good for something abstract like art.

I know that anime and video games aren't a monolith, there are many great anime(spy x family, aot) and games too(fire emblem, kingdom come, CS) but just seeing the ideological and moral collapse of the industry, makes me really want to stay away from it.
