I was looking on Facebook Marketplace for a used Domane for my son, and some of the prices are insane. I literally purchased my new SL 6 for less than what some people are asking for their used bikes.

I get it. No one wants to see their money go down the drain, but a used bike is still a used bike. I especially feel bad for Domane SL Gen 4 owners trying to sell right now because local bike shops are selling new 2026 GEN 4 SL 5s for $2,499.

I just don’t see why anyone is going to pay $2,000 for a used SL 5 Gen 4 when they can buy a brand-new one for only $499 more.

Some of the asking prices are so high that I almost wonder if they’re intentionally priced not to sell, just so the owner can say, “I’m trying to sell it.”

OK, I don’t get how a rep watch with the basic characteristics of the real thing can fail a simple water resistant test. Do they not put the gaskets in? The subs have a screw down crown so where exactly are they failing? There’s so much detail now put into these watches. Why don’t they bother making them waterproof? It can’t be that difficult or expensive for that matter.
