What do you guys think about movado?

What do you guys think about movado?

This was one of my first watches: an ultra-light 45mm titanium sport watch with a Swiss quartz movement. I paid $900 for it.

I don’t remember anybody in this sub talking about Movado, so I wanted to see what this community thinks.

[Next watch?]

Trying to decide between the Longines Hydroconquest and the CW Sealander C63 GMT. Right now I rotate between a Seiko Prospex, Tag Heuer Aqua Racer, and a Breitling Superocean Heritage. The Tag is my oldest watch, misplaced for a decade, but now my everyday.

Which of these would make a new everyday? No, I'm not going to spend extra on a Tudor.

Started collecting this year — slowly figuring out what my 6-watch collection looks like

I started collecting watches seriously this past April and have learned a lot about what I actually like versus what simply catches my attention.

The goal now is to eventually narrow everything down to a 6-watch collection that feels intentional.

Still on my list:

Cartier Tank — classic dress watch. Plus when I tried it on I loved it.

Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Minute Rattrapante — understated, super interesting and probably my next major piece.

A proper diver — something robust for the pool, beach, travel and anything where I don’t want to think about the watch on my wrist. Figured when I try the right one on, I’ll know.

Lange 1 Pink Gold Moon Phase — the grail and hopefully the final piece someday.

I’m enjoying figuring out my taste but curious what you guys would keep, sell or add based on where the collection is now?

**Rolex Explorer is a 39mm Mark II (only watch that’s untouchable)

Should I Trade?

So I'm considering trading my NTTD Seamaster for this 1991 Datejust I found on chrono 24. The dealer agreed to a straight trade. Would you do it?

The absolute worst watch YouTube channel ever created, in fact the worst YouTube channel ever invented.

This guy, Brendan Boswell is the absolute worst. His sole content relies on shitting all over other watch YouTubers to get him clicks as his content is shite, but the comments completely go against him, and he has no issues calling his followers “ losers” and saying “ your stupid” , with no real knowledge on the difference between your and you’re.

Also the guy that frequently says how shit Rolex were and omega were top dog, but then purchased numerous Rolex and now says Omega are shit. His watch knowledge is zero and I think he does need some help as he just comes across as rather unhinged and obsessed with certain people.

Thoughts on Citizen?

Been loving the satellite GPS watches/Atomic timekeeping. Love how accurate it is all the time without having to worry about changing a battery or really ever losing time.

Gift from mother in law

I was given this Rolex Date by my mother in law after her father passed. I was deeply honored my wife, brother in law and mother in law thought of me. I believe the watch was gifted to my wife’s grandfather by a contractor in the oil and gas industry. I don’t have much other information on it.

The REAL poor man's collection. 100% authentic genuine poor person with no watches of value.

I've seen so many "poor man's collections" on here. Come on now. This here is the real deal. 0% income. All used. Only 66% function. A different 66% were project watches I fixed up myself. Yeah, they're pretty sh*t. But (barring the addies which was a gift) I have a personal connection to them all. The Pepsi watch is a personal favorite, I replaced the strap, cleaned the crystal, changed the battery, polished the case a tad, and adhered the dial because the feet had come off. That watch and I have been through a lot.

Which titanium watch are you choosing

I have both in the collection because they are stylistically very different. But its fun to see what others prefer

Grandpa's Old Watch

Hello all,

Not sure if this is the right subreddit, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me about this watch. It was my grandpa's and I wore it for my wedding as he passed away when I was really young. I am interested if anyone would know things like the year, make, or history.

I don't care about the value as it is not for sale and it holds more sentimental value than probably what it is worth.

[Help with next buy] Cartier, Rolex or Chopard ?

Hello everyone, I know I’ve asked similar questions before but I discovered a new contender and wanted to get different opinions on it. So I’ve to pick between a Cartier Santos Dumont in Blue Lacquer, a Rolex dj 36 chocolate or a Two tone Chopard Alpine Eagle 41. This isn’t my final watch and I do plan on buying more in the future but for now, I just want something fancy. What do yall think ?
