Camcorder or iPhone? ($10k)

Help please!

I’m having my wedding later this year. We are having professional photography but we don’t have the budget to spend on videography.

We want the ceremony recorded, and then short videos of key moments like speeches, cake cutting etc.

I’m not sure if I’m better off getting one decent camcorder, a mirrorless camera that has video recording (cause maybe I can use this in the future more often), or just use my iPhone 14 Pro? Honestly both camcorders and cameras seem so expensive.

I plan on buying a Bluetooth mic to capture the audio at the ceremony as well!

Wedding makeup & hair longevity- Please help!

Hi everyone,

I know this is wedding-related, but I figured this would be the best place to ask for advice on hair and makeup longevity. I'm planning to have my hair professionally styled on the day (curled in a half-up, half-down style), but my hair is naturally very straight and curls don't usually last very long on me.

I'm also planning to do my own makeup. I've invested in good-quality products, so I'm not too concerned about the products themselves, but I am worried about how everything will hold up throughout the day.

We're doing our first look at 12pm, but the ceremony doesn't start until 5pm and the reception isn't until 6:30pm. We'll be outdoors taking photos for most of the afternoon, and it'll be late November when it can get quite hot where I live.

For those with experience doing their own makeup or having professional hairstyling for a long day, how realistic is it to expect everything to last? Is there a chance I'll need to redo my makeup and have my hair refreshed before the ceremony?

Any tips for making hair and makeup last in the heat would also be greatly appreciated!

Am I missing something? Natasha Denona Hy Glam foundation and concealer isn’t working

I’ve been doing a lot of research into foundations and concealers lately and have tried quite a number of them. People absolutely love the Natasha Denona HY Glam concealer (and foundation). But am I the only one who thinks it looks awful on?

It looks great for maybe the first 30 minutes, and then it turns dry and cakey, settles into every fine line I didn’t even know I had, and just keeps getting worse throughout the day.

I genuinely don’t understand the hype. Is there something I’m missing? I’m so confused because the reviews are overwhelmingly positive online.
