Vampire Huntress - black garlic raclette

I haven't posted on this sub in a million years, but I finally have a fun cheese to talk about!

As stated in the title, Vampire Huntress is a black garlic raclette style cheese and is made in Switzerland. It definitely has a smell (apparently it smells like regular raclette, which I have forgotten the smell of) but that probably isn't helped by the black garlic. It tastes good plain. I haven't tried it melted on anything yet, but I think it could be fun on some roasted potatoes or a burger.

Survived a flight!

Just wanted to post my success!

First pic: new home on my mom's bookshelf. (She refuses to throw out my old YA books, don't judge 😭)

Pics 2-4: I had the dust cover that came with the nook and I used packing tape to secure it to the nook walls so nothing would be able to get in. The tape came off cleanly and didn't take any of the outer artwork from the walls off.

I packed the nook in my backpack (my carry on item) and surrounded it with mostly clothes. I don't think I would trust this in a checked bag as those can be handled roughly (plus I only have soft sided luggage). It helps that this nook was super basic and I didn't make any mods. I'm not sure how a nook with something like a beaded chandelier or loose/moveable items (I'm thinking of my train cabin) would fare but I'm not sure I would risk it. But now I can say that basic nooks are flight safe!

Spotted at Leakey's Bookshop in Inverness

Looked to be made of little more than paper. Did not expect to see this at all!
