My mom and dad won't let me learn french(really need advice)
Before starting I just want to say that my english isn't the best.
So I(13F) am from Hungary and will start 8th grade in September. I need to choose a secondary
school and I've already picked one out. This school has options to learn another language for an extra year before 12th grade. My dream is to learn french because I want to go to university in France but my parents will not budge. They say that Frencs is such a useless language that I won't use in my life. Instead they want me to learn german. To be clear I don't have a problem with german I think it is a really beautiful language, and I want to study this language but after french. I will admit that my father and mother are not supporting that I want to study in France, they are racists and saying that there will be no French people by the time I will be 18, because it will be swarmed with arabic people.( for clearence I DO NOT agree with their opinion). I have told them many times that I can't really do anything with german in France. As I mentioned above they say that I will not use it outside France and some parts of other countries and I pointed out that it is the same with german(correct me if I am wrong). So people on reddit what should I do?
