how hard is uni level content (in terms of knowledge/academic aspect)

Hello everyone!

I'm currently in year 12 right now, just about to do my HSC next term (NSW). I was just curious, relative to other degrees, how academically difficult is nursing (bachelor of nursing - rn) at universities? I plan to go to UTS next year, although I've heard marking is less strict compared to usyd. But I just want to be able to prepare for anything that might be difficult or hard to understand before university starts.

I currently take biology, chemistry, math std 2, english advanced, investigating science and chinese beginners. I think I do pretty good in these subjects and have a good understanding of the topics, however I'm sure university topics greatly differ from hsc topics in terms of depth.

Is there anything I should study/revise before university starts? I'm pretty free after my hsc exams.

Thank you!

can i drop a subject if i only have 3 subject areas?

I recently put my subjects and marks into a HSC atar calculator (https://revizi.com.au/atar-calculator). My subjects are English adv, math std, chemistry, biology, investigating science and chinese beginners (which i am planning on dropping).

But the calculator is warning me that because chemistry, biology, and Investigating Science all fall under the single "science" category, dropping chinese means I will only have 3 subject areas (english, math, science).

UAC requires at least 4 distinct subject areas to be eligible for an ATAR.

I just want to ask if this is actually true (if 3 science subjects count under 1 area) and if anyone has done 3 subject areas and gotten an ATAR because I'm kinda scared now..

mod c english advanced

hi guys i'm really struggling with studying for mod c (craft of writing) for eng adv, especially because it is so subjective. i have trials coming up in like 40 days and i feel like its so hard trying to find ways to improve my creative writing. i got like 75% in term 2 for my imaginative response (as compared to my 90% term 1 essay) and i dont wanna mess up my english again 😭

is there any tips and ways to tackle this module, especially with imaginative responses???

hi everyone! im currently in yr 12 (nsw) and leaning towards nursing but i've heard that there is a big saturation of new grad nurses across australia, including nsw (esp syd region where i live) which means that getting into a grad program can be extremely difficult and stressful. i was wondering if this applies to nsw as im rlly worried ill be doing a degree that won't give me job security straight out of uni (even though its still a few years away, i'm still a bit nervous given the negativity online). thank you!!

also, unrelated to the post, but has anyone graduated from UTS for nursing (bachelors degree) and how did you find it :)?
