Honestly I give up with my results

I give up honestly, my parents are gonna be disappointed and i'm prob just gonna work a shitty low paying job I have no interest in. I can't believe I thought I had the capabilities to be a vet. Not gonna explain IA2 English either; teacher went schizo

English subjective

Every teacher says that English isn't subjective or based off the teachers personal style but I find it hard to believe. One teachers personal voice and style may not be liked by another teacher so idk why people find it so hard to admit that it isn't subjective.

It's not just me right??

Doing Cert III + ATAR in senior school

Year 10 student here and I’m thinking of doing a Cert III course (most likely through TAFE) + an apprenticeship in senior school while also doing ATAR. I’m planning on going into psychology in the future, so getting a fairly good ATAR is still my main focus.

Does anyone have experience with this or know if doing the Cert III becomes too much on top of the ATAR workload? I don’t want to burn myself out too much and still want time for other stuff (social life, relaxing, etc)

I'm currently considering literature, general math, biology, visual art, modern history and maybe chinese (not sure yet) I am planning on working towards psychology for future pathways and was wondering if anyone has experience on any of those subjects/what to expect/any advice

studying so much but still flopping methods 3/4

Like the title says, i literally study SO much and SO hard for methods yet im only just scraping by with a pass (40%). I just had a SAC today and i legitimately could not do around 20 marks worth of questions, i just didn't understand what they were asking. I've never even been bad at maths, my methods 1/2 grades were always around 80% and i didnt even try that hard, i think the problem is that the textbook questions/resources i have are SO different from the SACs and tests. I'll be able to do all the textbook questions easily yet on the test the questions are completely different. I've also been doing my friends' tutoring worksheets, none of them seem to help. Sure they build my skills, but when it comes to an assessment there's just things i don't know. I've honestly come to terms with this and accepted that my study score will probably be 25, but it's just frustrating knowing that studying doesn't even guarantee a pass. Any advice on how to deal with this?

Should I go for early entry?

I am a year 11 student with ADHD, Autism and I have a lot of anxiety about basically everything. Especially exams.
I believe I am quite an intelligent person and I get quite good marks, however, illness and anxiety can drag me down a lot to an extent.
I average around about 87% for general math, 85% for English and Business management, 78% for Systems, 60% for both Physics and chemistry. I am subbing out chemistry for computing, which will be my best subject (Couldn’t do it first semester due to a teacher on long service leave) where I averaged around 98% last year.
I am wanting to get an early entry offer for RMIT for a professional Cyber security course which requires an 83 ATAR, which I think I can easily achieve with effort. The problem for me is that ADHD and Autism play a massive part in exams, where I get nervous for no apparent reason even if I know everything, and ADHD makes sure that I cannot really focus at home as I cannot access meds at night.
My main question is… should I bank on an early offer to help reduce my anxiety? Also, if someone has gone through the same thing as me, what marks did you get? I have not been able to get a lot of help from people around me as they don’t know to much about the system.
Thank you very much for reading so much waffle and have a lovely day or evening.

Atar seems so unfair

My thinking was if i got 70% in each subject overall id get a pretty decent atar but according to the calculator it'll be below average. Now for my subjects bio, marine science, business, gen maths, english if i got 80% for each overall it reckons my estimated ATAR would be 78.80. Like how am i even supposed to get a good atar atp? unless i get 100% for each it seems impossible to get a good atar unless you dont see the sun and sit indoors studying all day like the asian kids do.

Studying medicine outside Australia.

Does anyone have plans to study medicine outside Australia if they don't get a place here? And any recommendations. The only place comes to kind with reasonable cost is Russia. Any other country options.

Should i pick atar psychology?

im a year 10 about to undergo subject selections and i am sorta interested in entering the medical field but still dont have a solid goal in mind. im having trouble picking my final 5th subject because i know if i do 4 english would bring my score down so i want my 5th to be something im confident in and something that is beneficial for the medical field. I am personally a bit interested in psychology and i know that my school ranks high in psychology

Is it too late to join Specialist Maths?

I am currently in year 11 in Queensland so QCAA syllabus.

Since It’s pretty much the end of Unit 1 and math classes are just starting Unit 2, if I were to move into specialist, will I struggle a lot? Obviously it will be challenging but is it too late now to consider it?

I am only considering it because I’d like to take do engineering in the future so im already doing math method.

my ATAR has ruined my life

rant because no one will know how to help

everyone who says ATAR doesn’t matter after high school is only being partially honest. In Australia, sure, who really cares? Just apply through different means after a couple years, you’ll be fine.

The degree I want to study does. not. exist. in Australia as a bachelor whatsoever. I have been trying to study in Europe for the last three years. I learnt so many languages, did everything required of me and have been rejected due to my ATAR being too low. I’m talking MULTIPLE countries i’ve applied in. I literally graduated 5 years ago, I passed all my subjects, highest grade being an A- and lowest C- and I got a fucking ATAR of 44.95 because I had serve depression towards the end of year 12 and my grades plummeted.

I was a really good student before then and as much as I try to peruse higher education, it’s the curse of my ATAR. No, there are no other alternatives to universities here as an Australian, they are only for people who didn’t finish high school. No, I cannot pursue this field without a degree first. I’m stuck in a curse where I qualify, I even have 6 months of internship experience in the field but my ATAR is what ruins everything. It feels like i’m being punished for my depression. If you want to study over seas do the international bachelorette, for the love of god do not do ATAR.

ATAR is a curse that has been following me around, literally despite it not even being valid in Australia now.

average atar for qld?

Google says its 70 some say its 65 others say 60 which one is it? ik its where you place amongst everyone in the state but 70 seems really ridiculous, essentially implying that 30% of people dropped out or failed completely. Honestly dont know how im supposed to compete against people who try too hard, not to mention how unfair my teachers are with marking my IA assignments, its as if they place you into a category depending on how well you perform throughout all of school and they only allow you grades within a certain range after you're placed into that category.

Yr.12 sem1 exams in 3 days, chat am I cooked?

We have our exams coming up in exactly 3 days, I've been trying to study for the last week, but due to the flu and heavy content. I've been procrastinating due to being overwhelmed, and now I fear that its slowly catching up on me.

I do mod hist, human bio, econs, eng, and math apps. Ik that it isn't as high achieving than other ATARS but since Im in the northern side of the river. Its defo still hard asf. My grades rn aren't the best, some are worser than my year 11 grades, while, some are exponentially higher than last year.

its lowkey to late to just give up now, considering the immense amount of time I've spent on it.

+ My exam timetable is lowkey fucked, I have my HB, ENG, MOD exams this week from (wed-fri), which leaves me not much time to acc study.

Do u guys have any tips on overcoming this? I'm lowkey desperate + dont know what to do.

Should I drop 4U English?

Title pretty much says it all. I always had my mind set on English ext 2 but right now I'm not sure if I can keep on with it. My grades are slipping in English Adv (for reference, I got rank 19/150 in yr 11 overall and now I'm rank 56), and I am also doing some other high demand subjects such as Ext 1 Maths, Society and Culture (with the PIP) and Modern History (lots of content). I thought I was doing well for e2 English as I got a 90% on my viva but then I ended up getting 75% on my literature review, even after spending hours and days trying to refine it.

I really love writing and I've spent so much time on my major work, so I would be very sad to let it go as I felt very passionate about it and I put so much thought into it. But now, I'm not sure if it's a practical decision for me to keep on going with it. I feel my passion for it dwindling with my slipping grades and lit review mark. But at the same time, I don't want to have all the hours I spent working on e2 be for naught.

Additionally, trials will be hellish as I not only have to hand in e2, but also my PIP (which is due in less than 3 months) and prepare for all my other exams.

But yeah, I'm really torn rn. Just last week I was feeling good about e2 and now I'm in the dumps about it. Advice much appreciated!

Anyone finding methods way harder than spec

I was always told that spec is much harder than methods but so far for me it’s the opposite. For context I got 88% in my last spec test but failed methods😭😭😭

Help

I have exams coming up soon and am just really stressing, my subjects are Methods, Specialist, Physics, Chemistry and English. In physics and chemistry I have been doing okay but in methods and specialist I am barely scraping by. Are there any tips on how to study for them in particular because when I try to I find the content too hard to even do so I can usually only complete it with the teachers help.
