Used prices closed the gap between Pocket 3 Creator Combo and Pocket 4, how does that change the usual advice?
Hello all,
I want to have a Pocket for my trips. I found these Amazon Warehouse deals (all are in very good condition, with full 2-year Amazon warranty):
- Pocket 3 --> €340
- Pocket 3 Creator Combo --> €396
- Pocket 4 Essential Combo (gimbal clamp not included) --> €397
This will be my first dedicated camera. I travel occasionally and already use a drone and action cam with a similar pattern (not daily, but regularly enough during my trips). I expect to use the Pocket the same way.
The Pocket 3 standalone feels like the worst option here, but I'm keeping it in because maybe I'm wrong and someone can make a case for pocketing the €56 savings. The real struggle for me is the other two.
I actually have a short-term need for the wireless mic coming up (a few days of use), but realistically I can't see myself using it much after that. Part of me thinks "better to have it just in case," but the other part knows that's a weird reason to pass on a whole generation of hardware upgrades for literally one euro more.
Every comparison I've found online talks about retail pricing, so the advice always leans toward the bundle. But at these prices that gap is gone, and I can't find anyone talking about the decision from that angle.
Would love to hear from people who've used any of these, what would you grab at these prices?
