OP3 at a parade with hundreds of wiener dogs
Rushed day, rushed shoot. Brought ND filter; didn't need it. Needed my wide angle lens; didn't bring it.
Happy overall though.

Hi everyone,
I bought a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 in December 2024 in the US, and I am currently in India. Lately it has been charging extremely slowly — sometimes seeming to take almost 2 days — and the battery also drains much faster than expected.
I am not fully sure whether I still have the original DJI charger and cable, so I’m also wondering if this could be a charger/cable compatibility issue rather than the camera itself.
Has anyone had the same problem and found a fix?
Any suggestions before I contact DJI support would be really helpful.
Im planning to go to finland in december, can osmo pocket 4 withstand extreme cold ? Like - 30°C
I make some efforts to film a small insects like bugs and ants. So decide to share a short sample of macro video from Pocket 3 - enjoy ))). Shot on Pocket 3 with macro lens then edited in Topaz video and Davinchi.
Hello all,
I want to have a Pocket for my trips. I found these Amazon Warehouse deals (all are in very good condition, with full 2-year Amazon warranty):
This will be my first dedicated camera. I travel occasionally and already use a drone and action cam with a similar pattern (not daily, but regularly enough during my trips). I expect to use the Pocket the same way.
The Pocket 3 standalone feels like the worst option here, but I'm keeping it in because maybe I'm wrong and someone can make a case for pocketing the €56 savings. The real struggle for me is the other two.
I actually have a short-term need for the wireless mic coming up (a few days of use), but realistically I can't see myself using it much after that. Part of me thinks "better to have it just in case," but the other part knows that's a weird reason to pass on a whole generation of hardware upgrades for literally one euro more.
Every comparison I've found online talks about retail pricing, so the advice always leans toward the bundle. But at these prices that gap is gone, and I can't find anyone talking about the decision from that angle.
Would love to hear from people who've used any of these, what would you grab at these prices?
I started a YouTube channel recently and I’ve been filming with my iPhone 15 because it’s the only camera I have. I’ve been surprised at how awful the experience is of exporting the videos from my phone to my PC. The videos look good on the phone but after I export them, everything looks washed out. I’ve looked up so many tutorials on dealing with this over the past few weeks and nothing has really solved the issue. I’ve tried so many setting on my phone and in Davinci Resolve and it always looks awful.
Today I filmed for an hour and a half straight and I got a weird error when I tried to export it to my PC. I spent an hour trying to fix it and just couldn’t get the file open. Then I tried to just edit the video on a MacBook and I ran into another problem.
I eventually came up with a weird workaround, but I’m sick of dealing with stupid stuff like this. I was planning to make videos with my phone for a few months and then buy an Osmo Pocket 3 because the 4 isn’t available in the US. But I just found out that the Xtra Muse 2 exists, so I’m not sure if I should wait until that comes out. I really don’t want to deal with filming on my phone anymore so it probably makes sense to just buy a camera now, but I’m not sure if I’d regret not waiting to get the Muse 2 since that’s an improvement over the Pocket 3.
What do you suggest?
Realised later on when reviewing the pictures that a little osmo pocket (3 probably) had snuck into the picture. Sorry if this doesnt fit the sub I've never posted in here before
Is it worth to buy a DJI pocket 2 creator combo? I will just use this to document my travels.

I’ve been thinking about this more than I probably should, but I think XTRA is probably one of the better options right now for creators who are on a budget but still care about quality control. Not “I want the cheapest camera I could find” budget. I mean people who actually care if the app works, if the footage holds up, if the color doesn’t fall apart, if the battery doesn’t die at the worst possible time, and if the camera doesn’t feel like a toy after 2 weeks.
That’s where XTRA starts to make sense to me.
And yes, before anyone says it, I know the whole “it’s basically a DJI rebrand” conversation. People throw that around like it’s automatically a negative. But honestly… for this category, I don’t know if that’s the insult people think it is.
Pocket cameras are HARD. They look simple because they’re small, but the actual experience is a bunch of tiny things working together: stabilization, color, battery, storage, heat, audio, grip, screen, app, file transfer, all of it.
Title.
Sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't give me the usb options prompt. I don't have a usb-c port anywhere so using a usb adapter wouldn't be an option as I'm using a usb-c to usb-a cable from an external ssd drive.
I thought clicking usb mode in the settings would fix it but it clearly doesn't. Resetting the camera doesn't work. I've had 3 cables try it out as well. Pocket 4 still charging.
Anybody have a solution to this?
Osmo Pocket 4 Pro upgrade behaviour, regional patterns and migration trends
Now that the poll has closed with 472 votes, we can look at the upgrade behaviour in a more technical way. The OP4 Pro poll produced a very different pattern compared to the OP4 poll, and the geo data makes it possible to see whether the behaviour was regional or global. The short version is that OP3 owners showed the highest upgrade rate everywhere, and the pattern was consistent across almost all countries.
Below is a breakdown of the migration behaviour, the regional variation and the stability of the undecided group.
The largest single group in the entire poll was OP3 owners selling their OP3 and upgrading to the OP4 Pro. This group accounted for 18 percent of all votes. Another 13 percent said they would keep their OP3 and add an OP4 Pro. Combined, 31 percent of OP3 owners are moving in some way.
OP4 owners showed a different pattern. Only 2 percent said they would sell their OP4 and upgrade. Another 2 percent said they would keep their OP4 and add an OP4 Pro. Most OP4 owners either skipped the OP4 Pro or are waiting for more information.
27.7 percent said they are staying on the OP3 and skipping the OP4 Pro.
10.9 percent said they are staying on the OP4 and skipping it.
This puts the total skip rate at 38.6 percent.
This is still a large group, but it is no longer the dominant behaviour like it was in the OP4 poll.
5.1 percent said they need more sample footage.
16.2 percent said they are waiting for real world reviews.
Combined, this is 21.3 percent.
This is almost identical to the hesitation rate in previous polls. The community consistently keeps a quarter of voters in a wait and see state.
Sell OP3 and upgrade: 83
Keep OP3 and add: 62
Stay on OP3 and skip: 130
This produces the following OP3 behaviour rates:
Upgrade: 18 percent
Add: 13.2 percent
Skip: 27.7 percent
The remaining OP3 voters fall into undecided or waiting categories.
Sell OP4 and upgrade: 9
Keep OP4 and add: 10
Stay on OP4 and skip: 51
This produces the following OP4 behaviour rates:
Upgrade: 1.9 percent
Add: 2.1 percent
Skip: 10.9 percent
OP4 owners are far less likely to replace their camera. Most either skip or add.
The geo data shows that the behaviour is stable across regions. The United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Australia, the Netherlands and Poland all show the same pattern:
OP3 upgrade is strong.
OP3 skip is strong.
OP3 add is moderate.
OP4 upgrade is low.
OP4 add is low.
OP4 skip is moderate.
No major region breaks this pattern.
Examples from the dataset:
United States: OP3 upgrade 20, OP3 add 30, OP3 skip 43
United Kingdom: OP3 upgrade 7, OP3 add 7, OP3 skip 17
Canada: OP3 upgrade 5, OP3 add 6, OP3 skip 11
Germany: OP3 upgrade 4, OP3 add 1, OP3 skip 4
Australia: OP3 upgrade 4, OP3 add 2, OP3 skip 3
Netherlands: OP3 upgrade 1, OP3 add 2, OP3 skip 9
Poland: OP3 upgrade 4, OP3 add 1, OP3 skip 2
The pattern is consistent across all of them.
Some countries show extreme behaviour due to low sample sizes. These are statistical noise rather than meaningful trends.
Sweden: 3 votes, all 3 OP3 upgrades
Peru: 2 votes, both OP3 upgrades
Antarctica: 1 vote, OP3 upgrade
These do not affect the global pattern.
The OP4 Pro is the first model since the OP3 that produced a noticeable shift in OP3 owner behaviour. The upgrade rate is significantly higher than in the OP4 poll, and the pattern is global rather than regional. OP4 owners remain stable and are more likely to skip or add than to replace.
The undecided and waiting group remains stable across polls, suggesting that a consistent portion of the community prefers to wait for real-world data before making a decision.
The OP3 crowd showed the highest upgrade rate.
The OP4 crowd showed the lowest upgrade rate.
Skip behaviour remains high but is no longer dominant.
Undecided behaviour remains stable.
Regional variation is minimal.
Outliers are due to small sample sizes.
This poll shows a clear and measurable shift in upgrade behaviour compared to the OP4 poll, and the geo data confirms that the trend is global.
Thanks to everyone who participated. Having both the raw numbers and the regional data makes it a lot easier to understand how the community actually behaves when new hardware lands.
The poll that made these numbers and statistics.

Since the pocket 4 has been released, there are tons of people selling their pocket 3s for cheap (about 300€ compared to 390€ new). Im completely new to dji and have never even used a camera with a gimbal actually.
Anything i should be mindful of when buying a used pocket 3?
Hello newbie here - can I use this SD CARD for my OSMO POCKET 4?
Thank you!
I already do YouTube as a hobby, but my main issue right now is storage on my Google Pixel 8.
I only have the 128GB version, and after apps/photos/videos, I constantly run out of space. I end up spending a lot of time transferring files to my PC instead of actually filming. Sometimes I literally can’t record when I want because the phone is full.
That’s why I’m looking for something more independent with a smoother workflow.
I’m considering getting the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Creator Combo. The thing is: I already own the DJI Mic Mini kit with 2 transmitters, so I don’t really need another mic.
The Creator Combo still interests me because of:
- wide-angle lens
- battery extender/grip
- mini tripod
- fill light
- carrying accessories
- overall “complete setup” feeling
I can get the Creator Combo for around 510€ because I have a registered company and don’t pay VAT.
Do you guys think the Creator Combo is still worth it in my case, or should I just get the standard version and keep using my current DJI mics?
Would love some real-world opinions from people using the Pocket 4. :)
Is it worth it to get a dji osmo and a fujifilm x100vi? Realistically if I’m traveling would I carry around both with me? I love dji for the video capabilities obviously and the gimble and subject tracking. but I love Fujifilm for the photo and film simulations. Having a tough time deciding
Should I get a different dji model? Compromise on the gimble aspect of it?
Photographer here. Shooting with a Canon EOS R50 + 28-70mm f/2.8 IS STM. Mostly photo work, but clients occasionally ask for video too.
Two things I want to improve in my video: stabilization (footage gets shaky, especially moving shots) and color/editing flexibility.
My situation is that video is secondary, photo is my main deliverable. Budget is limited, so I don't want to over-invest in another body. I need to switch between photo and video quickly during the same shoot
I've been thinking about adding an Osmo Pocket 4 purely for video, keeping the R50 for photo. The idea is having something good quality, grab-and-go without mounting/unmounting a gimbal mid-shoot.
For anyone using the Pocket 4 alongside a mirrorless: how does it hold up for professional client deliverables? Mainly curious about low light performance and how much grading flexibility you get out of it... or maybe I should wait for the Pro version.
The DJI site seems to have it blocked here in the US, tried finding another way around but can't seem to find anything, just wondering if anyone here has an alternative link. Thanks!
I have the option to get the OP3 with the creative combo used in a very good condition for 420€ + I would buy a MicroSDXC 256GB for 50€ — Total 470€
vs the OP4 Essential combo for 483€ (no extra SSD)
I have the Hollyland Ark A1y
I would only shoot for hobby and to create family memories on my trips. I have a manfrotto tripod, which is probably slightly bigger than the dji tripod.
I know it might break the rules but I have really no clue which one might be the better option as I’ve heard that the extra battery may not be important at all. And because the pricing if both is so close.
Which one would you recommend to get.
I just got my DJI Osmo Pocket 4, and I need tips and suggestions on how to take care of it properly. I got an action 5 pro and I understand that the P4 is nothing like the ruggedness of the Action 5, but is there any dos and don'ts with the Osmo Pocket 4?
