I keep getting blown away by the quality of the image that comes out of the pocket 4p... D-Log 2 is just insanity!

I wanted to see just how cinematic I could make my home look using the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P.

This entire video was shot on the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P in 4K 24fps, using D-Log2, a 1/50 shutter speed, and a 2-32 variable ND filters to maintain a cinematic 180° shutter angle in bright daylight.

The footage was then color graded to bring out the dynamic range and create a more cinematic, film-like look.

ND filters on the osmo pocket 4p are absolutely mandatory!

There’s no escaping the need for ND filters when shooting outdoors.

The most cinematic settings are:

24fps, 1/50 shutter, ISO between 100 - 1600 (try to keep it as low as possible)

If you’re shooting 50 fps, shutter 1/100, 60fps shutter 1/120. Always double the shutter to you fps. Never go above or below the required shutter. Golden rule.

Then get a set of variable ND filters. I would get a 2-32 and a 32-256. That’s it.

Use the camera settings above, slap on the ND filters and adjust manually until your image looks properly exposed.

Oh, and, always shoot in a LOG color profile!

Can't believe the image quality I got from the pocket 4p .. Truly impressed!

Filmed this today at home.

I'm amazed by the quality of the image you can get out of this tiny camera ...

Makes it so easy to document daily life in a more "cinematic" way.

Matching DLOG2 with DLOG has proven to be super easy, so I don't see it ever being a problem.

Can't wait to bring it with me on many more adventures ..

Easy fix to Osmo Pocket 4p dual lens workflow’s biggest problem

Everybody is talking about how annoying not having D-Log 2 on the x3 60mm lens is.

Took me way too long to click, but you can simply create a custom profile (first icon in the menu from swiping down) for both D-Log 2 and D-Log.

One click on the C button and you’re on D-Log, ready to shoot the telephoto.

Easy fix.

Now go create!

I’m 30 years old and I’m about to listen to dark side of the moon front to back for the first time in my life, on vinyl

I’m experiencing literally zero sibilance ob my Pro-ject EVO 2

Just finished installing it.

Took about 10 minutes, and with a tracking gauge, I made sure the tracking force was exactly 1.8g, and put a record on.

Absolutely mind blown by the sound so far.

Everything sounds so much wider and detailed.

First listen was Unessential Oils, Unessential Oils.

There’s not a single decibel of resonance on that table, everything is dead quiet.

Super super happy 😍

Just ordered the Pro-ject Debut EVO 2

I’m upgrading from an Audio Technica LP60x, what difference can I expect?

Anyone else (mostly) collecting super underground records?

This collection started with a gift from my brother (Unessential Oils), and trickled down to a lot of underground electronic music.

I like finding music that's interesting on the ears, with a wide mix and lots of layers.

Not optimal living room setup, but functional enough!

Far from optimal, but functional.

Have to share the living room with my girl, so this what I came up with.

If I was living alone I would have a proper room with proper acoustic configuration.

I’m running the Audio Technica LP60X turntable with upgraded stylus through the Fosi Audio X5 phono preamp, to the KEF Koda W’s and KEF Kube 10 inch sub.

It sounds amazing at decent DBs.

Next upgrade is for sure a new turntable, looking at the Pro-ject EVO 2.
