Took my Pocket 3 to the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Here's a sample of what I captured.
Thoughts on the look?
EDIT: Since a few have asked, this color grade comes from a tutorial from the Youtuber KC Ian. The mods block links in the posts it seems. I responded to a comment here with a link to the exact tutorial.
The important thing to keep in mind is the Color Space Transform.
For Osmo Pocket 3, I use this CST:
- Input Color space: DJI G-Gamut
- Input Gamma: Rec709
From there, I grade in DVG then output to Rec709.
Help needed: Sound keeps cutting out during playback
Hi, I desperately need help with a bug that's making it nearly impossible to edit. I've had a problem for a while now where my sound cuts out during playback.
It's a really annoying bug. Sometimes clicking into another timeline and coming back fixes it for a moment. But then I have to do this almost every few seconds. Editing this way is simply not feasilbe.

SOS: Insufferable Bug on iOS
See screenshotted video here.
When I pull up the keyboard, it defaults to the stock keyboard. I click on the Globe, and it changes to Gboard just for a moment before immediately switching back to stock.
This problem hasn't gotten substantially worse over time. At first I would just need to tap once and it would be fine. Now I have to tap it at least a dozen times before it finally takes my Gboard request.
Things I've tried:
• Removing the stock keyboard from languages
• Uninstalling and reinstalling gboard
• Resetting the gboard dictionary
• Toggled "Allow Full Access" off and on.
The only thing I haven't tried is a factory reset on my iphone entirely. I'll do it if I have to, but I want to exhaust every possible option before then.
Would appreciate any guidance here!
Most movie followups to TV shows are quite bad. What are the exceptions?
I gotta give it to Serenity.
This film transfers everything great about Firefly onto the big screen in a way that most other TV shows fail to do.
It maintains its continuity with the show, while at the same time, bringing forth an intriguing standalone plot.
Unlike many movie followups, it doesn't reverse or ruin the TV show finale. Now granted, the final episode of Firefly was hardly a series finale. They were hoping to run longer. But Serenity could have easily regressed what had happened in Firefly.
Where many movie followups bring forth new characters that feel weak compared to the TV show characters (looking at you Peaky Blinders: Immortal Man), Serenity's new characters were amazing. Especially the Operator.
The best thing about Serenity is it stands well by itself for anyone who never watched Firefly. I myself saw Serenity in theaters before I had even heard of Firefly, and I loved it. Learned about Firefly afterwards and excitedly binged the series.
Outside Serenity and about 75% of the Star Trek movies, I really can't think of many great movie followups to TV shows. What can you come up with?
Question from a non-DP: Why have almost no movies been shot on the Arri Signature Lens paired with a camera other than an Arri?
From my journey down the rabbit hole of cameras, lenses, and cinematography, I've come to the understanding that the Arri Signature Lens set offers the most clinical, distortion free image of any lens set on the market.
I know most DPs prefer the color science of Arri, as well as its unique approach to highlights.
I also understand that because the lenses are Arri lenses, they require mounts for other cameras.
That said, one would think that if getting a sharp clinical image were the priority, there's potential to match the Arri Signature with a camera like the Sony Venice 2 shooting at 8.6k.
So how come this isn't a more common paring? The only movies I found that has done a combination like this are CODA (Sony Venice) and Tron: Ares (RED V Raptor XL).
I imagine this as having the greatest potential for digital large format cinematography. But I'm betting I'm just not understanding a very obvious issue because I'm not actually a cinematographer.

Besides Idiocracy, what movie best captures the modern political condition?
I give it to In The Loop. It came to me just now watching this coverage of State Sec Rubio lying to US Congress about Trump sleeping in meetings.
This exchange literally belongs exactly as is in In The Loop. It match-cuts to bureaucratic meetings filled with intellectual bad faith like this one.

What two characters from unrelated stories do you wish could meet?
For me, it's Tom Ripley and Patrick Bateman. I'd be fascinated to know how they would size each other up. Would they be able pick up on the other's shadow? Would they like each other? Feel like they could relate?
Have you made your life-saving wallpaper for the weekend?
You can't make this stuff up.
Posted a small rant to the Millennials subreddit. This was the end-result.
