I live in a small city with barely any nightlife hoping to kind of get a rave experience. I wasn't expecting it to be this bad, they did not bother to make the music dance-able and even started playing musical theatre music. If it ended up being like a regular club whatever but it felt more like a cheap grade 7 dance.
Where do you actually meet ABGs in NYC these days? I'm talking about the kind that are specifically into EDM and raves. I know in California, they're everywhere. Do they also have a presence here in NYC?
For context, I'm Asian too, so I'm not coming in as some outsider who's only seen TikToks. I just have absolutely no idea where this demographic typically hangs out.

It’s a rave girl/kid, maybe teenage, sitting on a bed and looking sad and disappointed. There might have been a person next to them dressed similarly. People have used it as a meme mostly like “when your partner came down but you’re still ripping nangs” or something like that

Hey yall! I hope everyone’s having an awesome festival season. This is my first year taking it semi easy on shows and festivals in four years since I started. I’ve been fortunate enough to do Ultra and forbidden kingdom but I’m missing some of my favorites like EDC, cyclops cove, and possibly even III points.
Sometimes I’ll wake up and the first thing I think about is going to a rave or festival with my squad. Is tha just me or anyone else? Raving is in my top 3 favorite things to do and taking a lighter year has me feeling extremely FOMO especially when my girlfriend and I are staying back while a lot of our friends are planning on going some even for the first time.
Anyone else ever feel this way when taking a lighter festival year?

So last night Armin and John Summit did a face to face performance at A State of Trance. Two set ups facing eachother. I dj myself but I’m genuinely curious how this works? Is it just gimmicky EDM show? I just wonder how they control the output of mixing and the logistics of how this works musically.
