Chiang Mai to Pai road trip tomorrow — one day or two, and is there a simple route?

I'm planning a road trip from Chiang Mai to Pai tomorrow and would love a simple, pre-made route I can follow without overthinking it.

Can I just go to Pai and stop at interesting places along the way, or should I plan specific stops in advance? If anyone has done this route, I'd really appreciate any information, resources, or a route you used.

I'm thinking of leaving Chiang Mai in the afternoon, sleeping in Pai, seeing some nature the next morning, and then heading back. Does that sound realistic, or would two days be better? I'm mainly interested in nature and not interested in drugs.

How do you keep a photo-heavy phone organized without paying for cloud storage?

My iPhone is using about 200 GB of its 250 GB, mostly for photos. I want to keep the photos that matter, but my library is full of clutter: sometimes 10 or more duplicates of the same shot, accidental photos, and old pictures of school whiteboards I no longer need.

The problem is that I can't realistically find and delete all of this quickly or at scale. How do people who are serious about organization and optimization keep their galleries clean? Is there a good workflow or tool for bulk-finding duplicates, accidental shots, and outdated reference photos?

I'm not looking for the usual "just pay for iCloud" answer. Am I doomed to pay for cloud storage, or is moving everything to an external drive the only practical alternative?

Why is Asia poorer than Europe, and how much did colonialism contribute?

Why does Europe and the West have so much more wealth than Asia and other continents? How much of this difference can be traced to colonialism? If colonialism had never happened, would Asia be wealthier today, or would the gap simply be less severe?

DJI camera vs iPhone for vlogging: does dedicated gear actually make you vlog more?

I'm wondering what the real difference is between filming vlogs on a DJI camera and just using an iPhone. Is the video or workflow meaningfully better? If you didn't already vlog on your iPhone, did buying a DJI actually make you start and stick with it, or did it end up unused? Has it genuinely changed how much or how well you vlog? What can a DJI do for vlogging that an iPhone can't, and is it worth the investment? Does dedicated gear make any difference to becoming a vlogger, or is it mostly about the habit and the content?

How much smoother is the AirPods experience compared to Bluetooth earbuds like JBL?

I sometimes have to manually disconnect my JBL earbuds from my MacBook so I can listen to audio from my iPhone. Is switching between devices better with AirPods?

I had a dream where I refused to cross a bridge because there was a tiger. What do you think it means?

I had a really strange dream and I want to hear how other people would interpret it.

I was supposed to cross a bridge. There were a couple of people who owned or controlled the place, and they had animals there—cats, dogs, and a tiger.

When I tried to cross, the people kept reassuring me that everything was fine. The tiger really, really wanted to get close to me. It wanted to sniff me and check me out.

But for some reason I absolutely did not trust this tiger.

I kept telling the people, “Get the tiger away from me or I'm not passing.”

They were telling me it's completely safe. Apparently people had been crossing this bridge for years, everybody interacted with the tiger, and there had never been an incident.

But that didn't convince me.

My thinking was basically: maybe this tiger likes everybody else, but maybe it won't like me. Maybe it knows I'm scared. Maybe because I don't trust it, it will interpret me as hostile and become aggressive. I don't know what's going on inside an animal's head. Animals can be unpredictable and act on instinct.

So even if the tiger has been good with everyone else, how do I know what it's going to do specifically with me?

At one point I tried climbing the fence on the side of the bridge so I could cross without getting near the tiger. But the tiger followed me. It kept trying to get to me.

Eventually I was standing near the entrance while the people were literally holding/grappling the tiger back because it wanted to come to me so badly.

They kept saying, “It's okay. It's safe. Everybody has been doing this for years.”

And I basically told them, “No. I don't trust you. I'm not letting this tiger come sniff me. get him away”

I tried getting them to take the tiger away. I tried going around it. Nothing worked.

So in the end, I simply didn't cross the bridge.

The strange thing is that in real life I'm actually a big risk taker. I don't normally listen to people telling me something is too risky. I'm willing to take risks in life.

But there's one category I really don't mess with: unnecessary entertainment .

For example, I would never go skydiving or do those activities where you jump from some huge height attached to a rope. Even if people tell me it's safe and thousands of people do it, I never will.

So I'm curious what other people make of this dream.

I'm especially curious about the fact that I never crossed the bridge.

Get notified on iPhone/Watch when Claude finishes - how?

Hey! When Claude finishes generating, I get a Mac notification via Script Editor (AppleScript). Is there a way to forward that notification to my iPhone or Apple Watch instead?

Any help appreciated!

Planning to visit Lviv for a month, how is everyday life right now?

Hey guys,
I’m planning to come visit Lviv soon and stay for about a month.
I really want to hear from locals who actually live there right now. How is everyday life? Are there regular power outages at the moment? Are the supermarkets fully stocked with basic stuff like chicken, eggs, and water, or is it hard to find certain things?

Also, do people there generally speak English? I can speak broken Russian, would that be helpful, or will people refuse to use Russian to talk to a foreigner?

Lastly, is it realistic to come stay for a month and experience the city, or is it too difficult right now? Are there enough safe places/shelters to hide out during alarms, and roughly how much advance warning do you usually get if a drone or missile is heading toward the city?

Appreciate any advice or honest insights you can share. Thanks!
