After going through evaluations with a few different firms, here's what I've learned actually matters vs what's just marketing noise:
Drawdown rules — trailing vs balance-based changes your real risk tolerance a lot
Payout structure — not just the %, but how fast and how consistently it actually arrives
Rule transparency — are there clauses that only get enforced after you're profitable
Firm stability — will they still exist in 6 months to pay you
I ended up going with FundingPips mainly on points 2 and 3 — payouts have been consistent and I haven't had a surprise rule interpretation yet. I know FTMO is generally considered the more established name in the space if brand longevity is your top priority, but for the actual day-to-day experience it hasn't felt like a downgrade
