Staining on side of pool

My pool got pretty green and there was algae on the walls. After SLAM I've got the water clear and the numbers and chlorine levels are good but there seems to be a residue on the pool wall where the algae used to be. I've been brushing it but it hasn't been coming off and it seems like a stain? Does anyone know of any way I can get it off?

Fixing a well loved plushie

I'm trying to figure out the best way to close the small holes that have appeared in the neck line (not the seam itself which I'll just sew shut). This plushie belongs to a 4 yr old who hugs and sleeps with it every night. I'm kind of concerned if I sew too much it'll compromise the fabric and cause rips? Should I hand sew the gaps? Any advice appreciated. This child is in full laments about her unicorn.

Vacuuming to waste

I've already paid someone to turn my pool from green to blue but I live in the desert and we've had a lot of dust and heat and there seems to be more build up than my filter can handle. I've been trying to get my pool under control and I've cleaned the filter multiple times but after a day the vacuum struggles and stops sucking and the waterfall starts trickling. I believe it's all the dirt, sediment and dead algae that has built up again so I've been trying to figure out a solution and I read I should vacuum to waste but I don't know which handle or knob I'm supposed to turn? I'm guessing it's something to do with this as the bottom pipe leads to a drain that goes to the street. And tips or help would be appreciated.
