PSA Reddit vacation usage

If you are at a beautiful resort, sitting across from the person you allegedly chose to spend your life with, please consider occasionally looking up from your phone and speaking to them.

Some of us are trying to enjoy our jerk chicken, Red Stripe, ocean breeze, and gentle background music.

But apparently some people cannot simply eat dinner, sip a drink, and let humanity be humanity. No. They must sit at the table with the facial expression of a disappointed HOA president, aggressively typing a Reddit post under the table like they are submitting evidence to The Hague.

Their spouse sits across from them, staring into the middle distance, wondering if this is what the honeymoon phase officially died for, a room-temperature appetizer and a 4-paragraph complaint about speakerphone etiquette.

You can tell your server, “Excuse me, I need to step outside to post anonymously about strangers enjoying themselves in a way I personally disapprove of.”

Everyone will think that is wonderful for you, your karma points, and your deeply neglected dinner companion.

Sincerely,
Man Watching People Complain About People While Becoming the People They Complain About
