We’re a married couple in our late 40s/early 50s with two daughters who are both in college. After years of studying and working nonstop as medical professionals, we’re finally realizing we haven’t taken much time just for ourselves. With the kids out of the house, we’ve started talking about traveling for fun.

We’re not in the lifestyle. My wife is quite conservative — she comes from a strict Hindu Indian background. I’m white; we met in medical school. Recently I convinced her to try a clothing-optional beach. We went to Haulover and she didn’t enjoy it because of the gawkers. Later we tried the topless pool at Mandalay Bay in Vegas and she actually liked the atmosphere there.

After that positive experience, we’re looking at Jamaica and, after a lot of research, Couples Resorts (especially CSA) seems like it could be a good fit. We still have some questions and would really appreciate input from people who’ve been.

Here’s what we’re looking for / concerned about:

We don’t want gawkers or a nude beach that has public access.

We’re not in the lifestyle and don’t want to be approached. Any tips on how to keep interactions friendly but non-sexual?

I’m athletic and fit; my wife is on the chubby side, 5'2", with a typical mom body.

We’re an interracial couple (white + Indian). We got some unwanted looks and comments at Haulover. Hoping the crowd at Couples is more respectful.

What we actually want to do nude: read a book on the beach, swim, lounge around, etc.

We like the idea of open-air sex, but only in private — nowhere that other people can see.

Good food and drinks are important.

We’re fine with couple’s massages (male or female therapists) as long as they stay professional and don’t touch restricted areas.

CSA looks promising because of the private beach and the massage huts that overlook the ocean (and are apparently empty at night — which might work for #6).

Does any of the Couples resorts have rooms with a private plunge pool? I haven’t been able to find clear info on that.

Also the big one for us as medical professionals: my wife is nervous that we might run into patients (current or future) or colleagues. Has anyone here ever run into someone from a resort later in a professional or everyday setting?

I am on the fair skin side but want to spend time with my husband on the private island. If I feel like I am getting too much sun, can I cover up to protect myself?

So curious like as long as no one else is in the picture or if it's later the evening?..... I mean you got to take a couple's picture for the scrapbook right?

Going to CN in January and we'll be arriving on a Saturday and departing on a Saturday.

The cost for Arrival/Departure for Club MoBay for the two of us is $170 total. Worth it?

We arrive this Sunday for our first ever trip to Jamaica. I read on another post that road construction has started and the drive is awful. Has anybody made the drive recently? Is it bad enough that I need motion sickness meds? How long does the trip normally take?

On another topic, any last minute advice or tips? We are bringing insulated cups, lots of sunscreen, and some bug spray.
