Sweetheart and the gang decide to take a quick break on their travels by dipping into one of the many pools of Shem. Highly aware of the dangers of the area, the determined leader orders the strongest of his team (minus Ray) to defend the vicinity from the dreaded beak things. All this for a refreshing dip in the scorching heat.

Another little comic that came into mind when I was in the middle of drawing a different comic (again). I thought: "Maybe I should have something summer-adjacent this time." So here we are. Naked hivers are cute, so I am happy to have a chance to draw them, haha. Also, I'm testing out using text tools instead of handwriting everything! Hopefully everything is easy to follow, but I am still learning. I have a long comic in the works, so please look forward to that. Thank you always for the kind comments! They have been helping me in ways I can't even explain <3

Sweetheart: This as far as you guys wanna swim? Might be more fun at the deeper end.

Gurgle: I tried tellin' them, boss! But these two just wanna splash around like kids! Hah!

Truth: Where are the others? Shouldn't we be enjoying the water together?

Sweetheart: Oh, they're taking care of some things. Maybe after.

Stenn: Every day we risk our lives under Sweetheart's command... I just didn't think we'd be killing beak things so the others can go swimming. And in Shem of all places.

Hamut: Come on, Stenn. Nothing wrong with the occasional break.

Stenn: Doesn't feel like a break.

Koteshi: Can you just admit you want to go in the water already, Stenn?

Stenn: I don't.

Hamut: Yes, you do.

One time I sent my main duo (Sweetheart and Ray) on an important mission (I'm pretty sure it was not /that/ important). Unfortunately their severely underlevelled companions were left alone at their newly established base, which then got raided. Two of them, Gurgle and Truth, were taken away and enslaved, sent to Eyesocket just east of the Eye. Upon the main duo's return to a devastating news, they hire guards to their post, and set off to rescue their friends.

Sweetheart is my first character with whom I'm taken training stealth, thievery, etc. seriously, and in this situation its perfect for unlocking shackles and cage, but for some reason, Truth was taken into the desert by a guy who was... I guess hunting or something? I didn't know the NPCs could do that... But anyway, sent Ray over there to turbo kill him and rescue his fellow Hiver buddy.

Apologies for the lack of consistency with the art style of the final page. If you can believe it, I was working on a different five page story for some hours, then last moment /really/ wanted to draw this one instead. Today was many hours of drawing, so I lost steam by the end.

Sweetheart: Talk later. Ray's waiting.

Sweetheart: Good job.

Sweetheart: Gurgle, I couldn't find Truth back there. Any idea where they took them?

Gurgle: Saw some bozo walk 'em out. Said he needed a slave for a hunting trip around the Eye.

Sweetheart: Ray.

Izumi: Is that Gurgle!? Let me take her to the beds!

Koteshi: Where's Ray?!

Sweetheart: He's after Truth--

Koteshi: By himself!?

Sweetheart: Gurgle would have stopped him if she didn't have faith.

Gurgle: Ray can handle a guy with a shit crossbow.

Gurgle: Besides...

Slave Owner: FUCK! MY ARM! SHIT SHIT FUCK WH

Truth: Ray...!

Truth: I can't tell you how grateful I am, Ray. I imagine Sweetheart sent you. Kinda surprised he sent you by yourself.

Truth: But you killed that guy pretty quickly! Scary! Anyway, let's go--

Truth: WAH! Ray! You wanna carry me?

Truth STOP! I CAN WALK FINE! Fine! But not over your shoulder!

Sweetheart: Ah, there they are.

Sweetheart: Good job, and welcome home, you two.

Another comic of adventures of Sweetheart and Friends. I have a tendency to make my characters very tall, dwarfing my companions. Didn't think too much about it until Stenn joined our party and I put them side by side.

Thank you for the love in the first comic! Decided I'll color them moving forward (if I can handle it). A note for these comics: they are not chronological of what's happened so far in their story. I will make them based on moments I remember. Hope you enjoy following their adventures!
