I have a D7000 and recently bought a 50mm 1.8 and loved it.

Been away from camera for years and came back recently and missed it greatly.

One reason for being away from the camera was the weight. And by going for a prime lense I found it is so easy to just carry it around on everyday trip.

I mainly take photos of nature and food. I have a particular love for light, how things reflected in it etc.

I’m going on a trip to the northeast of Japan and hopefully get the chance to take some photo of the beautiful nature.

For my specific case, which lense would be a better choice?

No planned upgrade to a full body or mirrorless in the near future. But might switch to z series in a few years.
