Job Offer, Potential Move Back to Ohio
Hello everyone!
I’m just a college student but my parents are thinking of moving to Athens, OH! Our family originally lived in Cleveland, OH for quite a long time (almost 20 years) but ended up moving to Augusta, GA after a job offer. Now we might be moving back to Ohio.
I was excited at first, but I noticed the city is very small compared to what we are used to. It seems everything nice is in Columbus which is still an hour drive. The job offer is nice, but I’m not sure about living in such a small, reclusive town. To add on, we are an Asian and liberal family so I’m worried about the community as well.
Can anyone tell me anything about the city? What is it like living there? What is the view on people of color? What is the school system like? Hospitals? Grocery stores? Anything would help, thanks everyone!
