season 4 is actually the worst and boring
this is my second time watching season 4 and i’m actually finding it infinitely more difficult to enjoy than the second season that everyone hates so much. korra’s spiritual development is kinda repetitive, it’s blocked, she’s repressing trauma, she’s scared but acts like she’s not, okay bro here we go again.
idk her spirituality feels more shallow since her past lives connection was severed and i feel like that’s such a big part of ATLA and we had some really cool spiritual stuff in season 2 and 3 of LOK. they just kinda neglected that part in the writing i feel like. her personality is also just kinda flat to me season 4.
everyone being soooooo dispersed around the entire fourth season is also poorly done imo, it’s like they bit off more than they could chew. i’m just finding it boring or tiring to follow. i also feel like the main characters were getting overshadowed by these annoying ass new characters. ex. why is prince wu getting more time than mako and why is mako now a flat character cuck for this annoying ah prince. where’s his edgy zuko flair that was there in the earlier seasons?????
and finally, the romances are missing and boring as shit. like the most interesting couple left is kai and jinora and they never even show them, season 3 they were so cute. i am also not a hater of the love triangle that everyone hated but for it to conclude with korra and asami, bruh. i loooooove a good wlw storyline but they had literally NO ROMANTIC CHEMISTRY the entire show. like what?????
