I want to give you $250 for your Solarian project

will you help me with my experiment?

i started a democratic funding platform for cool solarpunk projects. every week or month (depending how our funds hold out), we fund a new project, with the winner determined by vote in our app.

but we need project submissions! so, if you're working on a cool art project, or a cool ecology project, or a food sustainability project, or really anything at the intersection of technology and nature, please submit your project! it is free to submit.

the winning prize is currently $250 per round, but as our community grows we can increase our ambitions.

our grants page has more details about how it works. let me know if you have any questions!

$250 microgrant opportunity for nature & animal projects

Hey all -- our experimental microgranting app no hotdog is now accepting submissions for our first $250 grant. The theme is Solarpunk, meant to include anything in the nature x tech x animals space. Animal welfare stuff is encouraged!

Could be a good opportunity for student groups and young people for whom $250 might make a bigger difference (and who might be excited about the app concept where winners are decided by voting). The project budget need not be limited to the $250 you receive from us, and both new and ongoing projects are welcome.

This is a recurring thing so check back later if you miss the first round:) More details on our grant page

Hi all,

This is Gaia. She's about 5 or 6 years old, has been spayed, and is house-trained. Her previous owner abandoned her and since then I've been taking care of her. Gaia is wonderful, but my living situation isn't very stable right now. It's not an emergency, but if I could find a more stable home for her, that'd be ideal! Some things about Gaia:

-- She loves life. She's a big ball of energy.
-- She loves fetch and walks.

-- She loves to chase squirrels in the yard.
-- She loves to play. She prefers playing to cuddling.
-- She is big and strong. Just absolutely stacked really. She tugs hard on walks. You'll need a harness to walk her.

-- She's a beautiful dog, photo doesn't do her justice.
-- While she is potty-trained, she's otherwise completely untrained. She gets excited and jumps on people. But she is a sweetheart. She means well and is very friendly.

-- She sheds a lot.

-- I haven't taken her to a dog park, but she gets along with my parents’ dog.

-- She gets along with our cat.

If you'd like to meet her, you can DM me and we can set up a meeting! There will be a small re-homing fee just so we can be sure we find a good match!
