Traffic violations are absolutely destroying my nerves

Traffic violations are absolutely destroying my nerves

I got stuck today on this road, much like the position of this car is.

I thought the way was clear but as I passed over the traffic lights crossing I realised there wasn't room for me to join the traffic in front and the lights changed behind me, which allowed traffic from the right to start joining the road so I couldn't move forward or back. What kind of violation am I expecting to receive?

I feel so stupid and annoyed at myself as I stopped in a yellow box just yesterday from another stupid mistake and I am definitely expecting a fine on that one.

I only passed a month ago and my nerves aren't getting any better. This is all happening on my commute from work and I'm starting to feel like I can't deal with this amount of stress and worry every day. Each time I've slowed down to stop and wait for room for me after a box junction, I've been violently beeped at by people behind me, I feel like drivers in London are ruthless. But if I had just taken a beat rather than get stressed about someone behind me, I don't think either of these incidents would have happened.

Major imposter syndrome

Passed last Saturday and during my test I was a bag of nerves. I can't pinpoint anything that I felt like I did particularly wrong during it but ever since receiving my results, particularly my minors, I have felt like I've scraped a pass and don't really deserve it.

I mostly learnt in my partner's Ford Focus, driving when we could and I picked up driving very quickly. I had 3 lessons with an instructor (his recommendation that I only needed 3 to get the formalities of a driving test ironed out). But during my test there were a few moments where I wasn't sure what was the correct thing to do.

The undue hesitation comes from waiting for cars to clear before driving alongside parked cars rather than slowly passing through the gap. I was thinking the whole time about clearance and worried I wouldn't have enough, and I know clearance can be a serious fault so I didn't want to chance it. But the fact I got 3 of those as minors (there were lots of parked cars to pass throughout the route) makes me feel like I should have failed on that alone.

I'm not sure of the details on the other points of my minors, in all honesty I was so relieved to be told that I had passed I forgot to ask the examiner what the other minors had been for. At the end of the test, the examiner warned me I need to learn the width of my car and take the gap when appropriate. I didn't even tell him I was just trying to be safe and not make a mistake of judgement.

Now nearly a week later and picking up my own car on Saturday, I'm feeling overwhelmed about the whole thing. I keep having flashbacks to my test and the nerves I felt, and I don't feel like I deserve or am ready to be a fully fledged driver. All I keep thinking about is how many minors I got and how close I came to failing. I'm very nervous about driving alone, especially my commute which will involve a busy A road. Most of all, I just don't feel like I'm good enough to not be a learner anymore.

Sorry to vent, but I just wondered if there was anyone else who felt like they scraped a pass and how they over came it?

TLDR: I think I scraped a pass and I don't think I deserve it.
