I recently moved from a large hospital (15 RRT's per shift) to a small community hospital (1 RRT per shift.). I have spoken with the other day shift RRT, and we are considering scheduling ourselves 6 on, 8 off (12 hours shifts). Has anyone worked that type of schedule?.... how did it work out?
Honestly, it was probably the most difficult test I ever took. Far more pharmacology, and far fewer advanced vent mode questions than I expected.
BTW, I graduated in 2024, and turned 61 this past week.
