First day in Bioflect Leggings

Honestly, I have liked the way these have felt on my legs today. I have had them on for almost 12 hours with no discomfort

Everything is held tight and I don't have to feel the thigh and saddlebag jiggle. Ugh! I am thankful though that the days are getting cooler. This would be terrible on a hot day.

The only thing that really bothered me at first is how high-waisted they are. It was really uncomfortable to have them sit on my ribcage for the same reason I do not wear high-rise pants. It just feels very annoying to me. I seem to have solved this by folding the panty part over and down over my hips. I am already thinking about a second pair.

ClosureFast™ procedure for varicose veins?

So, I have a varicose vein on my shin that is causing a lot of pain and numbness. I am planning to have the vein closed with a procedure called ClosureFast™ when I can fit it in. I am wondering if any of my lipidema sisters out there have treated a varicose vein? What was the experience like? Has any one used the particular procedure I mentioned? They close the diseased vein with radio frequency energy or heat.

I am a little worried about this but the annoying pain and numbness need to go. Please share your experience if you have one.

The next thing on my list

So, has anyone supplemented with this and noticed a difference? At this point, I am hoping something easy helps a little. Yesterday, woke up with nasty leg bruise...no idea how I got it. 🙄

Finally! Stall broken!

I was so happy when I weighed myself this morning. I want to share because so many of you get the agony of a long stall. Since the beginning of April the scale has not moved down but just bounced around between a high of 145.5 and a low of 142.2. Up and down I would go btwn this range for the last THREE months. Frustrating! I saw my doctor recently and asked to titrate up to 12.5 and those meds just arrived yesterday.

I was beginning to doubt that I would ever see a number under 142. 😫 Well, this morning the stall broke. After three months I weighed in at 141.1. 🎉

The difference is that I have consistently used light weight and kettlebell excercises everyday at home for the last week and half. I have one 10 pen left. I am going to go ahead and finish it up and then start 12.5. I am looking forward to finally seeing movement after so long!!!

Menopause lipedema and spider beins

A vein doctor recently gave me an official lipedema diagnosis. The lipedema onset was post-menopause. At around the same time my thighs and around my knees blossomed with patches of pinkish-purple spider veins. The doctor is adamant that these are not related to lipedema. She tried to convince me that they are genetic. Neither my mom or her 6 sisters have spider or varicose issues. I have only one aunt on my paternal side and she does not have veins either.

I absolutely think my fragile fat and skin contributed to the spider veins since the onset was about the same time as the worsening lipedema. Does anyone here have the same experience with lipedema and spider veins?
