Random Collab Idea: Hololive EN
Was completing my dailies for GFL2 while watching some EN clips and suddenly my brain has produced this: the designations of each current Hololive EN member if they were Dolls. Now, my thought process was to try to mix regional origins, lore, and team composition when making each designation. I also ignored any already existing designations in the GFL lore.
Admittedly I’m a newer enjoyer of both Hololive and Girls Frontline as a whole, so discussion for improvement is welcome!
Mori Calliope - IMI Desert Eagle .50 AE EN’s dad hails from the big Lone Star state. And nothing screams braggadocious capacity more than a Deagle. She already wields her Reaper Scythe so that could be an additional or even her main weapon, but this was a list of firearm designations first and foremost.
Kiara Takanashi - Steyr AUG A3 Famous Austrian bullpup, meet famous Austrian VTuber! There was no other thought really in making this choice, other than specifically choosing the most modern iteration of the AUG.
Ninomae Ina’is - Daewoo K2 The first member that I was really stumped on, since I couldn’t see Ina hold anything but gold trophies, so I went with a vague origin pick on this one.
Ouro Kronii - FAMAS G2 Kronii is from Canada, but there are French people in Canada, right? So Kronii is French now. And she gets a French bullpup. This one I could actually visualize immediately and it just felt so right.
Hakos Baelz - Remington 870 So Aussies don’t really have modern national firearms, but Promise needed a close-quarters specialist. Thus I gave the Queen of Chaos a 12 gauge hole-puncher. I imagined it to be mag-fed and pistol-gripped for maximum chaos.
IRyS - Howa Type 89 Again, not a member I’d ever think to see holding a firearm, but I opted for the Type 89. Mainly chosen on its origins alone, but I think I was also inspired by Hibana’s use of the weapon in Rainbow Six.
Shiori Novella - M27 IAR Bit of a hard pick, but after mostly figuring out the rest of Advent beforehand, I gave their steadfast leader a practical rifle.
Nerissa Ravencroft - M40A6 The tallest member of EN should have the tallest rifle, eh? Nemesis was the main inspiration here as one of the tallest Dolls in GFL2, but if Advent were going to have a sharpshooter, I’d choose Nerissa. That being said, the corn-fed Hellspawn probably could’ve done well with a corn-fed rifle… or SAW.
Koseki Bijou - FN P90 I saw fanart of Biboo wielding a P90 and that’s where this whole train started admittedly. The gamer energy that radiates out of the PDW is sorta hard not to ignore either, something that Biboo shares. Also, smol.
Fuwawa Abyssguard - SIG P220 I’ll go ahead and say the twins have the worst/rushed picks out of the list. I can’t imagine them holding any weapons period, so I tried picking smaller arms to fit with their whole “guard dog” theme. Fuwawa gets a BAU BAU pistol famously used by the JSSDF.
Mococo Abyssguard - Minebea PM-9 Mococo gets a personal SMG also used by the JSSDF because the Mocodrill meme was stuck in my head.
Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame - SMLE No. 1 Mk III Right, so giving the only early-contemporary rifle on this list to the Exardian may be profiling, but Great Exardia’s lore is quite literally a stereotyped Great Britain so she’s getting the stereotypical bolt-action. Oh, with a sword bayonet! Named “Thorn”!
Cecilia Immergreen - HK G11 The kraut space magic is strong with this one. She literally made a song called “Wind Up”, people! Seeing how Ceci’s brain worked during the Autofister Network BTS stream made this pick more fitting.
Raora Panthera - SPAS-12 Ok, so this was a straight Sabrina rip. Italian beeg cat who does a lot of cooking content? Come on now, next!
Gigi Murin - Two MAC-11’s The chaotic gremlin gets a pair of Freesian classics! She already dual-wields gauntlets, sort of a smaller class of weapon with a big punch. Giving her two handheld bullet hoses seemed like the natural choice.
