I wanted my new tab to feel like a workspace, so I built one.

I've been working on a New Tab extension called Cosmos.

The idea is pretty simple: instead of treating a new tab as a blank page, make it a lightweight workspace.

I'm particularly interested in the UX right now.

The current version has:

• App shortcuts

• Bookmark collections

• Quick notes

• Tasks

• Focus timer

• Wallpapers

• Weather

• Designer/developer-focused widgets

One thing I deliberately tried to avoid was turning it into a giant widget dashboard. I want the interface to stay calm and useful.

For people who use New Tab extensions:

What feature makes you actually keep one installed?

And what usually makes you uninstall one?

I'm looking for criticism as much as compliments.

Cosmos A beautiful home for your browser.

NexusPad - A modern app launcher & organizer for macOS after Apple removed Launchpad in Tahoe

I built NexusPad because I missed having a simple, beautiful way to browse and organize apps on Mac. When Launchpad disappeared in macOS Tahoe, I wanted something that still felt native to macOS but more powerful and customizable.

Problem:

As the number of installed apps grows, Spotlight becomes great for search, but terrible for browsing. The Applications folder feels outdated, and most launchers focus only on speed, not organization or visual experience. I wanted something clean, fast, and enjoyable to navigate daily.

What NexusPad offers:

• Alphabetical Sorting

• Folder & Category View

• Favorites Section

• Quick Search

• Adaptive Dark/Light Mode

• Native macOS-style UI

• Smooth grid & list browsing

• Completely Free

The goal was to make app browsing feel intentional again ,like a proper home for your Mac apps instead of a cluttered folder.

👉 NexusPad

I build this solo and would genuinely love feedback from fellow Mac users.
