Really struggling, gained weight while under points and macros. 2 weeks in a row. Please help.
The last two weeks Ive somehow gained 1lb each week while consistently staying under my macros and points. I manually reduced my points in the app as well to ensure I'm staying well under my points. The only two macros I've gone slightly over in the last 2 weeks is protein and fiber. The highest calories I've hit over the last week was 2,200 (celebration cheat meal and my app recommends between 2500-2700, so still technically in a deficit) but most days were 1800 or less. My coach said to track every b.l.t. meaning bite lick or taste. So even if I try a bite of someone else's meal, or something like that, ive been tracking it with 1 or 2 points. Any 0 point sauces Ive tracked, not overdoing it on 0 point foods and tracking all of those as well.
I meal prep, which usually consists of 93/7 ground beef, some kind of veggie, and some kind of 0 point sauce (usually one of the g hughs brands). Most of my other meals are prepackaged microwave meals like lean cuisine, or healthy choice steamers.
The only possible explanation I can think of is that
Ive started increasing my weight lifting a decent amount. Im hitting the gym for weight lifting anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, most days hover around 40 mins. Although, I dont think Im gaining muscle at a faster rate than Im losing fat.
Can someone please give me some insight on how I can stop gaining? I feel like Im doing every possible thing right. Im really struggling to stay motivated now.
