-A MESSAGE FROM THE OWNER-
"Hey guys, Jordan here from Heat Straps. First off, thank you for having us. A lot of what we do exists because of communities like this that genuinely care about how things are made, why they’re made a certain way, and the people behind them. My brother Tyler and I are career firefighters from New Jersey, and we started Heat Straps making products we personally wanted to wear and use. From the beginning, the goal has been simple: build honest products with the best materials we can find and manufacture them right here in the United States. Everything we make is driven by function, durability, and real-world use rather than trends. We’re proud to still be producing in small batches with a hands-on approach, and we’re grateful there are still people out there who value that level of craftsmanship and transparency. Looking forward to talking shop with you guys, answering questions, and giving some insight into what it’s really like running a small American-made workwear brand today."

-SHOP SPOTLIGHT-
"High quality American heritage workwear, made the way things used to be. Bringing back the skillset that's missing."
What started it all - Their flagship product, the Heat Strap Glove Accessory
A small grass-roots brand, quickly gaining popularity through first hand experience and word of mouth, a reputation built on their designs made with clear intention; Heat Straps, founded by career firefighters Jordan and Tyler Lang is, unironically, ready to face the literal & proverbial fire. Their beginnings based in practicality, the thought "why should I go without my fire gloves on the job" lead to their invention of a ski strap like accessory for your gloves that is also fire retardant. Thus solving a key issue for firefighters across the globe and subsequently jump starting their workwear brand. Now capable of focusing on sourcing the highest quality materials and utilizing the highest level of craftsmanship, they continue to develop clothing in a tier of it's own.

Their team consists of about 5-7 (depending on the particular job) highly skilled artisans who craft each garment by hand with meticulous attention to detail in their factory in New Jersey. Even for such a small team they produce some truly next level results. To produce garments of this quality Heat Straps sources materials from some of the best woolen and textile mills and tanneries from around the world, namely USA, Japan, and Italy. Materials such as their proprietary wool woven here in the USA, their 26oz. Hardwear Wool; or their insane 16oz. Japanese Sashiko that has a depth of indigo like no other; or their highly anticipated Italian Wool Pile Pullover to their well regarded Italian Linen Shirt. Even the leather straps (an often overlooked but crucial component) on their duffle bags are sourced from Siedel & Horween! Heat Straps cuts no corners to produce garments capable of being passed down, worn in not out, heirloom quality.
Making national headlines while still keeping true to their ethos has helped solidify Heat Straps as a MiUSA workwear & heritage wear staple akin to other well-known, classic americana brands. Having featured stories on "Fox Business - Making Money" and "ABC's - World News Tonight" are huge milestones for any mom & pop, self-made brand just for the awareness alone. We all know the small niche brands because we're involved in this little corner of fashion but to have national publicity on your brand like that, especially as a niche brand, can be game changing. Opportunities like these allow the average person exposure to clothing as it should be made and hopefully deter fast fashion one consumer at a time. Reminding consumers brands like Heat Straps still exist and are trying their hardest to keep the skill & craftsmanship of textile/garment making alive and well.
