My sweet spouse and I just closed on our first home. It's a 1947 and we found this in the attic. Can anyone help with insight?

We closed five days ago and finally got brave enough to go in the attic. We were surprised to find this up there! It's in excellent condition, but needs glass.

It's beautiful and we love it. Anyone know anything about the text on the bottom?

Seeking help to decide if I should adopt another dog! Details within.

I've been reading tarot for quite a long time here and it's rather rare when a spread leaves me feeling a bit unsure and conflicted. This is definitely one of those times for me and I'm hopeful that someone else might be able to lend some insight 🙂‍↕️

The other day I broke a big personal rule... I got on the city animal shelter's website and looked at the dogs available for adoption. Rookie mistake. I fell in love with an older dog who had a story that broke my heart 😔 The details of that aren't as important (unless anyone is just curious), but what is important is that I lost my Soul Dog, the queen of my life, in October after 15 incredible years together. She was everything to me and it's possible that I'm still grieving some. Other details important to this situation are that my husband and I already have a dog and cat and we're moving houses in the next week or so. Still, I can't stop thinking about this dog.

I pulled some cards to help gain some clarity on what I should do here.

The first card I pulled asking if I'm even ready for another dog. Upright Empress. Interesting. I immediately think of my old girl that I've lost. The Empress is strong and divine. Motherly. The answer to my question feels like a yes at this point.

Secondly, I ask if my little family and I can handle the change of adding a second dog. The financial, emotional, and family dynamic changes that would come with this. Reversed Temperance. This worries me a bit. Maybe I'm moving too quickly. Making too many changes in life right now. It's possible I need to slow down and take stock of my life with a little introspection.

Finally, I outright ask if I should adopt this specific dog and pull a Page of Pentacles. Pentacles represent Earth which indicates groundedness and growth. Perhaps this could be an opportunity to heal? The page is eating an apple which can symbolize growth and knowledge. Note also the visual similarities between the Empress and the Page. Both showing the confident feminine splashed with blue (tranquility? Divine connection?). The monkey alongside each capturing her attention. Perhaps he's a friend? A friend passed and a friend to come.

I would be thrilled to hear anyone else's input or interpretation. I am thrown for a loop on this one. Thanks in advance 💕

Can I please get a vibe check on my Sundew?

Hi!! This is my first time caring for a sundew :) in the past I have grown nepenthes successfully (much to my delight!) so that's where what little knowledge I have comes from. I've had this sundew since March I believe. It did have a short period of time where I wasn't taking care of it quite right, but I'm hoping I've mended my ways!

This little guy is next to a window whose blinds stay open, but it also gets 12 hours of full spectrum artificial light every day. I keep about an inch of water in its tray that I very occasionally let go dry (though I do not let the plant medium dry out ever). You might be able to see that it's currently sitting on a seed mat, but since it's summer time and our house stays relatively warm the mat is not turned on.

Does anyone see any red flags here? I feel like I should snip away the dead leaves, but I'm a bit nervous. To me, it looks a bit scraggly and droopy, but it always appears that way so maybe it's normal? Would love any and all insight, thank you!

You can probably tell by the title that I'm a beginner sock knitter. I am working vanilla two at a time socks and I definitely should have cast them both on to begin with :(

I went ahead and knit the cuff of the first and want to cast the second on, but I can't figure out how to do it without removing the first. I am out of town right now and don't have any spare needles to move the cuff to so if there a way to do it I'm all ears! Otherwise I guess I'll just keep working on the one sock 😅

Thanks in advance!
