Im considering dropping out and continue to work because I couldn't get any scholarship
Hi there, as the title written, for context, im 23 years old and have 3 semesters left, i've been studying and covering expenses all on my own for the past 2 semester and now all of my scholarship applications have been rejected, im in dilemma whether i should continue to finish of my degree or drop out and continue working and pursue degree part-time later on if needed.
I used to work before continuing degree so i actually have 1-1.5 years of working experience, specifically as a soft dev. So i think this could be a great boost for me but at the same time that was back in 2024, im not sure if my experience could be relevant still if i were to go back to job hunting.
Continuing study has been exhausting for me, its been studying, finishing assignments and part time work as shopee warehouse assistant/drive as grab during my free time. The money im making is just barely sufficient to pay my expenses for my rent/utilities/car and daily spendings. I tried to explore more into university programs/competitions and hackathons so i dont waste my university life experience but its been going pretty hard for me to balance it out all so i had to pass out on some. I did consider for PTPTN but i already applied for PTPTN back then for my diploma and applying again for my degree, i feel like i dont want to put myself in a lot of debts after study.
What would you do if you were in my position? No financial support from anyone, just you on your own. Is there something that i could try to make my situation easier so i can finish my degree? or should i just drop out and work considering i already have some experience and building my working experience could be better?
