What a nightmare experience

I ordered a 2019 F-150 to be delivered 7/31. It was delivered on time, but I discovered the next morning that it rattled on cold start. It was REALLY bad, there is no way they missed it.

Brought it to one of Silverrock’s “partner” shops first thing Monday morning 8/3. It needed a new engine, or a ton of work done to the engine to fix severe timing issues.

After going around and around with silverrock and getting nowhere and them sending out an inspector who said there was nothing wrong with the truck, I decided to exchange it.

Ordered a 2023 F-150 to be delivered 8/15. Made it EXTREMELY clear to them that I cannot have any delays, I am in the middle of moving, and they’ve really screwed me over. They texted me today 8/14 at 4:30pm when my delivery appointment is at noon tomorrow to tell me that my delivery has been rescheduled for 8/24.

I’ve been in contact with the “executive resolution team” who just reads off of a script, they offered absolutely no resolution. They claim the delay is due to needing a new tail light assembly, but that doesn’t take NINE DAYS to fix.

I have spent HOURS on the phone with them trying to come up with some sort of resolution and only get scripted answers and no solutions. They haven’t been proactive at all to resolve this.

I asked for them to find me a comparable vehicle that could be delivered during my original delivery window, they came up with nothing. They had no explanation for why a tail light assembly could possibly take nine days to replace. They didn’t offer anything to make up for the stress they’ve put me through.

I wouldn’t recommend Carvana to anyone. What a nightmare experience.

Wellness retreats in Colorado?

My (mid 30sF) mental health has taken a nose dive. High pressure work, I live in a house I am just sick of and can’t change, my neighbors live too close to me, my marriage feels off, every little thing has added up to be a giant weight and I’m at my limit.

I think some kind of incredibly relaxing, outdoor ish zen camp may help.

I’m not interested in any kind of religious anything. I don’t think I really need actual medical treatment outside of maybe some therapy for anxiety and depression, I don’t have addiction or any specific things that can be medically treated. I just need a solid BREAK. I’m looking for wholesome, either very limited interaction with other humans or only women, somewhere where I can maybe get a massage and soak in a really nice bathtub, maybe take a nature walk, ride a horse, sit in a hammock or just anything that is pleasant and stress relieving with nice scenery. Bonus points for SILENCE. I’d prefer to sleep in a real bed with nice bedding.

Does such a thing exist? I’m willing to drive anywhere in the state or surrounding states.

I don’t know if it’s just my area or if it’s like this everywhere. I’ve always had access to family land (too far now) before this horse, not my first horse but first time boarding.

Barn #1- feeding moldy hay, tons of safety issues, barn owner generally unstable.

Barn #2- moved there in a hurry to get away from barn #1, lovely owner, sweet boarders, but REALLY far away.

Barn #3- fancy show barn, moved to be closer, seemed nice. Horses going without hay for 12+ hours and owner was apparently offended and got really nasty when I bought my own hay (storing off site) to bring her a net full every night to prevent that from happening again. Everything was friendly before this.

I’m a good boarder I think? My mare doesn’t have any vices and is easy to be around. Board is paid on time or early, I’m friendly with the other boarders, she is on appropriate feed/ supplements that I feed myself every day, she gets regular vet/ farrier care and is in full time training but won’t be a show horse (my horse isn’t fancy and I’m not either).

I don’t want to move my horse AGAIN. I like the other boarders and the location is so convenient. But the barn owner has seriously sucked the joy out of being there.

Ugh. The worst part of horses is horse people.
