I played Dome Keeper back in its first version a few years ago, I think it only had 1 or 2 playable characters. The thing is, I liked it, but back then I didn't feel like the formula had much more to offer. Now the game is on sale and I'm on the fence about getting it because I don't know if I'll still enjoy it. My question is, do you guys feel like they've added meaningful content since then? Like what?
I started this run when I found a weird cave all the way to the left in some clouds. Inside, there was a book talking about a crystal key, saying something like once the key was 'charged' or whatever, I should use it on two chests: one in the sky and another one in hell. I already knew about this famous crystal key( I'd used it before on the coral chest) but I had no idea there was another one in hell. So, I took my key down there. When I found the chest (the 'demonic' chest or something like that), the key didn't work. There was a book right next to it that said something along the lines of 'to continue the path, bring with you a curse of greed or the weirdest creature in the world.' I didn't really get that last part, but I assumed that to open the chest I needed the curse from the tree at the start. So I went back for the curse (which I only know about because I picked it up by accident once) and headed back to the cursed chest to see if anything happened... and nothing did. I have no clue how to open that chest. No spoilers, please, but do you think I missed a step or misunderstood the instructions? Does that 'weirdest creature in the world' actually exist or is it just a metaphor? I want to try again in my next run, because that curse completely ruined everything. I don't know if you can turn it off, so I ended up finishing the run the hard way.

I was just wandering around and this apparently immortal mob spawned on me. I assumed it was weak to some element, like 'mechanical' mobs, so it chased me across the entire map, destroying everything in its path, all the way to the Holy Mountain so I could swap my spells for some frost damage. It died, and then I died 5 minutes later to the poison/venom it left behind. It was fun.
I was having a great run, beat the final boss, and went back up to do 'things' like I usually do. I wanted to continue with the quests, but I accidentally pressed E on the floating island and it kicked me into New Game+. I don't know what to do now, the map changed, and I missed out on the other quests. Is there a way to roll back or go to a normal world?
