Just hit 1,200 km on my i20 N Line N8 DCT. Getting 10.2 kmpl mixed—is this normal?
I recently hit the 1,200 km milestone on my new i20 N Line N8 DCT. Right now, the app I use for logging all the refuelings is showing a mixed fuel economy of 10.2 kmpl (mostly a 60/40 split of city and occasional open ring-road driving).
I’ve been filling up with regular 91 octane fuel since delivery. I’m not driving like a maniac, but I’m also not hypermiling—just keeping up with traffic.
Is 10.2 kmpl expected during the initial break-in period? For those who have crossed 5,000–10,000 km, did your mileage improve after the first oil change?
Also, does switching to 95 octane (like XP95) make a noticeable difference in the real-world FE and smoothing out the low-end turbo lag?
