Clarification

Hi guys!
I’m a first time renter, and I wanted advice on the right way to do things.

The people above me are very loud at night, and someone I live with has called about twice to say something but they said that I should call(?) Despite the person I live with already calling.

However, I have been adamant in not calling but instead of emailing. I believe emailing gets me more of a paper trail in case of just simply calling. If something were to happen, I want proof that I said something.

Would that be the appropriate way of doing this instead always handling it face to face? I also don’t want to go down to property management for the same reasons. It doesn’t give ultimate proof that I said something.

Incoming OD1

Hi, so I leave for school at UAB on Friday. I’m gonna be 4 hours away from home, so I’m not too anxious.

However, I’m super anxious about meeting everyone to the point it’s almost eating me up inside.

Any advice or stories for the first week?
Thank you all! :)

Loans 😀

Hey guys!

Since optometry school is around the bend, I just wanted to hear those who currently are in or out of optometry school. How did you deal with fact you had to take out loans for school? What was your repayment plan, and how did you go about keeping it structured?

I knew I had to take out loans. It’s inevitable. It is also my first time taking out large chunks since I worked it off for undergrad. I’m not going to deny that it scares me, especially with how much has changed in our government regarding loans. I just wanted to hear everyone’s views so I could stop feeling like my world is gonna end lol.

Thanks guys. :)

Working while in School

Hi guys, I saw an earlier post about someone wanting to work in while in school. I saw a bunch of people advise against it, especially in first year, which I get due to work load.

However, what are your opinions on working from home while in optometry school? I have a couple of friends that work from home currently, and they think it would be a good fit due to flexibility for a busy schedule.
