'Purity' & afropessimism

i was just wondering in a lengthy comment i left on another post if anyone has ever written anything on 'Purity' through an afropessimist lens? or read it with that in mind. it has been on my mind since i reread TG recently and it really cohered the story for me since it is already explicitly discussing critiques of humanist concepts idk.

Crime scene site in woods?

In the US - if a body was found in the woods, what would the site look like a few days after discovery? how intensively would the site be cleaned?

for context my character is an entomologist, an strange never-before-seen insect was found on the body and she is going to go and look at the habitat the insect was found in.

also would someone be sent with her to help direct her to the crime scene, or would it be flagged/identified in some way, or would exact coordinates be given, etc? just would be curious to hear any info surrounding procedures for bodies found in the woods, insect collection and the procedures after the insect is collected tbh! would love any recs for good books/articles to read as well.

▲ 10 r/Asexual

when i was about 11 or 12 in the mid 2000s i frequently read a blog or website by a lady who was asexual. i believe she also was autistic, and she had very long blonde hair and enjoyed wearing faerie wings and ren faire esque costumes. i learned a lot about asexuality and autism from reading posts on her blog and i thought she was so cool and unapologetically true to herself! does this ring a bell with anyone else/does anyone remember the name of her website? i was curious and wanted to take a walk down digital memory lane so to speak and i also hope she is doing well now!!
