Is this worth my stress??!

Hey guys, hope everyone's getting on ok!!

I just wanted to come on here to ask for some advice really. Basically, I'm really stressed over points. I want 400 points, but I have no clue whether or not I'm achieving that with how things have gone. I do all Higher Level subjects apart from Maths (OL).

Also, an O4 in Maths is a requirement for my top desired course. I think I've definitely passed, but it's looking more likely for me to get an O5 which I just gotta accept.

I'm honestly just wrecked. I feel so burnt out. After every exam I spent so long adding all possible grades I could get up, to see if I could get 400. (I feel like right now I could have maybe three H3s, an O5, a H5, and a H7?? --and I have one more exam left to do.) I feel like I'm going INSANE. Like, a crashout is due guys. Btw, in my mocks I got around 360 points (minimal study done).

I've been so excited for summer. I have things to look forward to and want to finally enjoy myself, and thrive both physically and mentally. But with how stressed the exams have me, this just seems like it's gonna be so hard to do. I'm scared that I'll ruin my summer because every day I'll just be dreading how many more days there are until results day.

If there's any past LC students, or teachers, etc here who can offer any words of wisdom it would be GREATLY appreciated. I just have so many mixed emotions built up inside me right now.

Also, for those reading this who have done the Leaving Cert, were any of yous convinced you had done really badly, and then ended up with grades higher than expected?? If anyone has experienced that, it'd be really nice to hear haha. Right now I can't tell if I'm predicting grades too low or too high for myself.

Thank you for reading and have a lovely day <3

irish and irish culture essay (leaving cert)

(HL lc irish paper 1 2026)

hey guys, kinda worried right now, i wrote about 6 pages for the essay about irish and irish culture. i forgot the meaning of “ag dul neart ó neart”, but said i agreed with it and then complained about how irish is kinda a dying language, etc😭 however, i did speak about how it’s being celebrated in ways too. for example, i mentioned how irish is our language but english is mainly spoken in ireland, and how i’m a young person and i’m disappointed to see irish being a dying language.then i talked about how a big emphasis was placed on irish as a subject in schools, and the gaeltacht. but then i mentioned how i think there should be more information about the language and gaeltacht?? i feel like i kept contradicting myself😭 i talked about how we’re all just addicted to technology and that many people think irish is a boring subject. BUT THENN i was basically like “the number of irish speakers are falling, but many people play irish football”, and talked about how my friend plays gaa and traditional irish instruments. i also said i love fontaines d.c. and kneecap as they spread irish and make me proud to be irish. also mentioned how i think ‘seachtain na gailege’ is important but that we should have more celebration around irish/irish culture. at some point i also mentioned how i hear and see small bits of irish sometimes, on TG4 and raidió na gaeltachta.

i stuck in some phrases too like: “beatha teanga i a labhairt”, ”tír gan teanga, tír gan anam”

i have to focus on the rest of my exams, but i feel like i’m SPIRALLING over this, worrying that the examiner will think i’m contradicting myself too much in the essay/not give me many marks because i basically agreed that irish/irish culture is going from strength to strength, and then discussed many negatives. like, i’m basically scared that it’ll seem mostly negative instead of positive. i ended it by saying that together we need to speak irish and learn irish culture to save the country😭

if any irish teachers are reading this, or just anyone who’d have an idea of how i could be graded on this, i’d greatly appreciate any feedback :)

go raibh maith agat!! ☘️🇮🇪

WHAT DO I DOO?

hey guys! hope everyone’s doing well :)

i just wanted to come on here for a bit of a rant and to see if anyone has any advice for what i’m going through right now.

i just graduated secondary school (highschool) in ireland and i am about to sit my leaving cert exams next week. i’m STRESSED because i haven’t done any study, honestly just due to being unmotivated and burnt out.

there’s another problem.. i have an itch i feel NEEDS TO BE SCRATCHEDDD. but idk if i can do it🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

basically, my plan was to go to college to study business. i like it and am good at it, but i think music has my heart. i just feel it’s the one thing i know i’d genuinely be HAPPY doing in my life.

thing is, i have NO idea where i’d start. i have no experience with music. all i know is that i want to do something different, and make a silly dream turn into a real stage. even though i have no clue what i’m doing, some weird little thing within me thinks choosing music is the right thing to do.

if i wrote/sang a song, is there anywhere i could send it (labels, etc) that could give me a chance at starting something? i’m so lost, so literally any help at all would be seriously appreciated.. 🎶🎶

thanks!
