Minnie 😻 January —> today. She’s about 10.5 months old now.

We are planning to do some updates and would love thoughts and advice. We will be keeping the cabinets and raising them to the ceiling. They have some wear and need a little love so they will get cleaned up and we’d like to tone down the gold/yellow tone on them so they’re more of a natural warm tone (more honey oak than golden oak I guess?). Microwave is going away and new appliances. We plan to get new countertops/backsplash. These are granite tiles that are not in great shape and I don’t want tiles. We’re thinking of lightening it a little and doing a warm white/cream for both. The color of the wall needs to change as well as the hardware. I do like dark counters a lot and I feel they work here, but not this particular stone. It is very busy. I also feel like dark counter and dark backsplash would be too much, but dark counter with light backsplash seems off too? So we’re leaning a bit lighter and warmer and trying to keep it true to its original design and not try to modernize it too much, but freshen it up.

Anyone else have a cat that loves to play fetch? She’s the only one of our cats that does. She’s finally starting to get worn out here 🫠 usually it’s her little spring toys, but today it’s this random broken toy with a bell on it lol
