Y’all I’m so damn confused 😂 as a femme trans guy most of my experiences have just been ew or pure dysphoria fuel. This one however has just left me thoroughly befuddled. I am using my legal name in this post as I have no fear of folks finding out who I am.
To preface; I’m a stoner, I go to my local dispensary roughly every 2 weeks, most of the staff know my face 😂 today I went in and the clerk was someone I haven’t been served by before, I look 17 on a good day so of course I got ID’d before even asking for the crap I wanted. He then proceeds to say my first name like it’s a question, and I say I go by my last name. Then this man says/asks if I haven’t changed my name yet??? I said no, I’m not planning on changing my name, I just go by my last name, Graham.
Background on why; It’s socially recognized as more masculine than my first name, but the history behind it is incredibly important to me, it’s one of the first known names for god, and the name of a Trans, Hindu deity so I’m not planning on getting rid of it 😂 mom knew she was either getting a girl or a hella gay little boy, she ended up with both in the same body 😂 It still fits me I believe, I just got read as female far more frequently when I was going by it (it’s Ila, pronounced the same as Isla which is the Scottish spelling) I’m planning on introducing myself with my first name again once I pass socially.
Anyways, the rest of the interaction went normally, but I’m still so fucking confuddled, did it mean I passed?? The gender marker on my license is X as that’s as far as I can legally change it in Canada without paying stupid amounts of money 😂 so I know that’s a good tip off, but either way? Anyone got any insight on this?? Or just reassurance that I’m right to be confused as hell by the way the clerk asked?
Hello all! Just wanted to introduce my sweet little menace and share some of my favourite pictures of her (there’s so many, I must share, people outside my friend group should see this little gremlin 😂). Her name is Spaghetti, she’s almost a year old (already!! Time flies when they’re little 😭) her birthday is July 31st at around 3 am. She’s such a little limpet and I love her with every fibre of my being 🥰 she’s also a little parrot and loves being on shoulders so she can be up high and see everything. Most of my pictures are of her asleep on me, or inside my sweaters 😂 she seems to want to be IN my skin and instantly starts purring when she hops up on me. She also has a little stuffed cat that matches my childhood stuffy, her name is PJ aka Pocket Joyce (Joyce is my stuffie’s name)
