Recurring disconnects on all devices but router still shows connected
I've had a recurring issue going for a couple months now, the connection will drop out completely on all devices (wired PC, all devices on wifi) but the router will still show connected, 90% of the time the router lights won't change and I will have to reset the router. Usually after about 8 minutes it will resume uptime.
I had a tech out in mid may and he thought the splitter to our unit (We're in a 6 condo building) had gone bad and the noise levels were all over the place, he removed the splitter and swapped out the modem to a new one.
The problem disappeared for about a month and then started happening again in the last week and a half. From what I can see, the power levels/SNR on every channel is well within spec, but devices will still lose connection.
Any ideas? I talked to a service rep the other day and she reset some stuff on their end, but I'm assuming I will need a tech out no matter what?
I've kept the modem page open basically non stop, on the last disconnect, the SNR's were all 40+ on the downstream, 30+ on the upstream, powerlevel on down all between -6 and +6, +34 to +43 on the up. Channel 33 (OFDM channel) has a SNR of 0.
sidenote: The xfinity modems have the most useless interface page on the planet
