Choosing last 4 classes_____

I've taken Sim, CDA, and all the required courses less DVA. I'm pretty sure what three of the remaining 4 should be, but looking for input on the last one. Somewhere in there, probably in the summer, I hope to do the practicum, and hoping to do it with my current employer. I am planning on finishing the C track. The final class must be either a stats elective or C track elective, I believe.

Here is my tentative schedule not necessarily in order. Suggestions for that last slot?

  • HDDA
  • DL
  • DVA
  • NLP, Bayes, RL, ???

Data Structures and Algorithms for OMSA student?

Greetings follow GA Tech students! I am currently on course 7/10 in OMSA (C track), having just finished CDA. Really liking it, but I would like to go after some of the lowest hanging fruit that you won't learn in OMSA.

Questions:

  • My uneducated impression is that Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) is perhaps the lowest hanging of all the fruits for OMSA students without a Comp Sci background. Am I correct?
  • If yes, I see there's a recommended course at UC San Diego I could moonlight in. Would that be a good shout?
  • If python is the language I currently know best, would it makes sense to just study DSA using Python, or would it better to gain some exposure to something like C, C++ and/or Java?
  • Besides DSA, what are some other CS topics/courses that would be great to augment my OMSA education with?
